I have been doing these for my Quads as i cant squat yet.... All i can say is this is NOT comfortable at all for me.I can do them but i always hit the back of my leg and when doing 300-400#s it kinda hurts

I found by taking the trap bar, flipping it you can get the full range of motion the behind the back deads give you and allot less awkward and just as much quad fire

I miss the trap bar. They gym I have been out for the past year doesn't have one. Took it for granted when I had it

    Zercher squats?

I can't go heavy on those. It ends up killing my arms where the bar sits with anything over 205.

**Side note** - it makes your biceps look huge, and that's really all that matters.

We just got a trap bar at our gym. People use it as an alternative to deadlifting with a straight bar even though the motion is completely different

I didn't like it much for deads, though it was good when I first started to keep me from killing my shins while I built up weight (but my shins still look like a tiger mauled me thanks to box jumps). I like it for farmers walk and shrugs.

And this is why I firmly believe the Panthers will win the superbowl this year. Not just because of their W-L record but because of that man right there. I've never seen Cam play with so much swagger. His confidence at the line of scrimmage is just scary good. Good luck to you and your team!

that bent wrist crap is dumb...that's why so many crossfitters do it

"oh, it's an unnatural movement that could hurt me?! SIGN ME THE FUCK UP!"

Yeah, I kinda have to swing it out to keep from hitting my ass, but I never go too heavy on them either...max I do is prob 275.

    Trap bar is awesome

Yeah, that's them! It's another one that's a bitch to go heavy on, but they're good for high rep shit

Yeah, I've seen that, too. Trap bar squats are for quads and your ass and I don't think 90% of the people that do them know that. They just use it as an excuse to be able to do more weight on a dl.

Their only loss of the season came from the Falcons :stirthepot:

Not that I care. I hate pro football. College is where it's at

We blew out the failcons 38-0 two weeks prior. They were obviously butt hurt and came ready to play and we didn't.

As far as college football... Deshaun Watson is da gawd

I always have to stretch my lats and shoulders a lot to help with the front squat form. Some days I notice stretching/rolling my upper back out helps, too. My form has improved but just force yourself to do it even if it's lighter weight.

You gotta stretch it out and kind left your fingers unroll a bit and keep your elbows high. It's equal parts strength and mobility... and damn it I hate mobility work!!! Thats why my legs are thrashed 24/7 I need to fix my hips/ham strings/IT-Bands.

My elbows were low. I'll try it again and raise them and do the cross arm if it still feels like it's going to snap
