My Grandfather (dad's dad) was 6'5" 260 stocky
My Dad was 6'5" 280 stocky
Me 6' 240 stocky and when I bulk I can climb to 260 fairly easy

Not a single male in our family has even been "lean". We all share the same body type, and when my dad and grandfather were still alive, when we would stand next to each other was quite comical due to the same body shape :D

Reminds me of my brother in law who played highschool football. He stopped lifting regularly after he graduated but his legs are still huge and can squat a lot more than me. Makes me sad.

thats the way i am. I could slack off from the gym for months, and I would barely lose any size. It helps for when I go on stretches of not being able to make time for the gym, I dont have big swings in size or strength, it really maintains very well. pretty fortunate for those genetics :D

My dad is 6'6 300, fucking huge with muscles. Mom is 5'0 and super skinny. I got exactly half and half. I'm 6'1 and have tree trunks for legs, huge thighs and insane calves. Normal sized torso for someone my size but toothpick arms. Kinda disproportia all but can curl just as much as my roommates with noticeably larger arms. Fucking sucks because I just want bigger arms so I'm proportional but apparently that's too much to ask for.

I am pretty proportional depending on how you look at it. I keep my gut as big as my ass.

Ill say I got put in the middle with my height (mom is 5' and dad 6'5") and I am 6', but i am identical like i said with body shape to dad and grandfather. Giant broad shoulders, thick chest, above average biceps, giant triceps and huge forearms. It really helps me that I can keep a steady weight and size when i go extended periods of no gym.

I'm 5'11'' and naturally lanky. My dad is 6'2" and super skinny and my mom is like 5'5" and super skinny. I was 5'11" and 140 lbs until I started working out and now I'm at 205. I have to really work hard to add size, so I eat all day and night and do very little cardio....and by very little, I mean none

tried it a few years ago and it wasn't for me. I can't eat a lot at once, so it was hard to suck down 3500 calories in 8 hrs. Now, I do kinda like what @ThunderCookies does and eat at 8am, 10am, 1pm, 3 pm, 6pm, 8pm, and 10 pm. Much easier for me that way

same. If I don't have my morning coffee within 20 mins of waking, it screws up my whole day. I can't really eat until I've been up for an hour or so.

let me know when you figure it out lol. I do calves after leg day twice a week. I do one heavy day (6-10 reps) and one light day (15-30 reps) and I think my calves are the same size as they were when I was 9 years old. It sucks being lanky. My shoulders, chest, and back grow great, but my arms and legs are so long that they don't look big. My arms are about 16.25"-16.5", bug they look 12"-13". It sucks. As for legs, they look small under my shoulders, which are pretty wide, but they're strong too, but just so long that you can't tell. That's one thing short stalky guys have going for them: they can have 14" arms and they look huge!

Its a trip how much Genetics play in our body shapes and ability to change them. Generally speaking, your body has a homeostasis it likes to be in, and the minute you want to change that, it will try to buck your program.

Yep. That's why cutting is super-easy for me. My body is happy around 140-160 lbs, but I'm happy at 200+ lol.

cutting for me is basically non existent. ive tried just for grins, and never happened lmao! My body loves being right round 240..I might carry up to 245 depending on sodium intake/junk food, but will usually level back out round 240...

That's about where I am now. I've been bulking since September, but I've been hovering around 200-205 for the past month or two. I've upped calories and got up to 210, but I had a bad couple of days and went right back down to 205. I'm gonna add about 250 calories per day to my current number and try to get up to 215-220 before I cut.

How long did you try it?

The problem I've found with eating all the time (multiple meals thru day), it's simply a pain in the ass.. If you're gonna do it and do it right, the only way is prepping meals, there's no way most can ever stick to eating right meal by meal each day.. One reason I'm thinking about trying this fasting thing. Guess it also boils down to whatever works for individual and their way of life/ body make.

Oh yea, got a new gym partner. I got a text from him the other day that said "me, you, trainer, gym. I need to not look like shit this summer and I need your help." Makes a guy feel good when another bro thinks you do good enough in the gym that you can help them.

    All the feels.
