Drop to a light weight and rep it slow. You want to focus on your shoulders and traps (shrug at top). When you start to feel it burn, move up in weight and keep your focus on the burn. It doesn't take much to effectively hit shoulders.

I thought she was supposed to be facing the other way...

Did chest and tris with a friend from high school I haven't seen in like a year tonight. He's about the same size as me, so we were pretty tit-for-tat on everything, although I did get the best of him on flat bench (I got 315 and he only got 295). Best part about it was he doesn't like to lollygag in between sets, so we were really sweating. I checked my heart rate at one point and it was up to 132, which is much higher than my usual workouts. It sucks though b/c he is an RN and usually comes to the gym at like 5 am.

    all 4 sets 15, 12, 10, 8:
    flat bench (plus 315x1)
    incline dumbbell press
    decline dumbbell flys
    low cable crossovers

    all 3 sets of 15, 12, 10:
    skullcrushers
    floor dumbbell press
    rope pushdowns

Haha yup I was right back at 204 this morning which is +3 from yesterday.

I am still averaging about -2.5 lbs per week keeping macros around 2250. I have gone now from 216 to 204 and my waist is down almost 2 inches... I am flattening out, but now is about the time that I have my fingers crossed I will start to tighten up. I can tell you that my arms have leaned out a bit though. I am not naturally very vascular and when pumped I finally have the bicep vein back. It sucks to be smaller, but damn I love being lean-ish. I got down to 195 last year and I suspect this year I will flirt with the 180s on that journey to exterminate body fat. That will be about the same weight I graduated HS at, 6'2", hopefully not lookin like a string bean. I was quite skinny fat back then though.

Alright. On the treadmill. Let's kill some time.

20 mins of steady state cardio. Treadmill at 3 mph at a 7 incline

    Leg extension:
1 drop set to failure at 100 reps total

    Leg press:
    3 sets of 30

    Leg curls:
    3 sets of 20

    Front squats:
    3 sets of 20

30 mins of cardio. 3 mph (because my legs won't move any faster right now) at a varying 4-7 incline.

Man, I just can't win. Felt great this morning other than a scratchy throat from coughing phlegm up. Woke up from a nap stuffed up again.

Had a solid leg workout in the morning and finished with some bi's. Gonna see how I feel in the morn but I am hoping to get at it again before work.

Head to the doc and get some antibiotics or something bro. Sounds like you need some help fighting this stuff off.

I would start drinking some emergen-C every morning if I were you, too.

Not one for antibiotics for head colds. I have some from the past but I only take them for preventative measures (i.e. cut myself bad and fear infection). I am getting better but it seems to be lingering longer than I want.

I've had this argument with some gym buddies before. Ready for more input...

When you write down a workout how do you write out the sets vs reps...for instance

    I always do 12x3 or 8x5

That to me means 3 sets of 12 or 12 by 3 and 5 sets of 8 or 8 by 5. Most people tell me I'm backwards and it should be 3x12 claiming the x = "sets of" but since the x literally means "times" I read that as 3 times 12 meaning do 3 twelve times not 12 three times...

    :notsure:

    I've always done 3x10. Sets x # of reps

    3x12 would be 3 sets of 12.

My workout board is usually setup like this, we usually only use the AxB for weights (A=weight, B=reps, and then sets is written to the side like below)

If I am listing weight I would say 12x135x3...12 reps at 135lbs 3 times...

    I can't be the only one!:help:

It just makes sense to me...especially if I am doing a pyramid type workout bc I would list it like

    10x135
    8x185
    6x205
4x225x2 (2 sets to start going back up the pyramid)
    6x205
    8x185
    10x135

    Reps x weight x sets

No gym access this week. Fuuuuck.

On another note, got some creatine and it says to do a load week of 4 scoops a day for 5 days then drop back down to the one scoop a day. Yes, no, maybe?
