Everyone at my gym reracks their shit for the most part. You'll have a few douche bags leave weights out every once in a while, but they're normally the guys my size who wear fucking cut offs and sit in the mirror and flex while they curl 25's. If I didn't sweat so fucking much, my scrawny ass would probably be in the gym in a long sleeve every day.

Wouldn't say I rely on it. I work nights & workout in the mornings & like dwalden2 noted the extra kick helps.

    325 mg caffine.

In terms of caffeine content. This takes the cake. I personally prefer a lower caffeine content of 200mg or lower and if it's really an off day 25mcg of Huperzine-A for better focus and of course pr's. Do I think of a pre as gear? Not really. If you take the right one though, you can lift more on a 1rm so I guess that argument could be made both ways. Most people just want an extra pick me up for a better workout. Like coffee in the morning. Don't need.Don't die if I don't get it. But I like it

jesus I start sweating after 4 solid sets of bent over dumb bell rows. I am a sweat machine, sux.

I was spoiled over spring break when everyone was home and not working out. Gym was pretty sparce. Now everyone is back and evenings are laden with the regulars, noobs, meat heads and everything in between. Waited for forever for some damn 80s. Just staring at this guy taking forever to do 2 sets. Luckily everyone is pretty good about putting shit back!!

    IIRC, it's 420mg

probably some basic white chick tattoo

I've gotten more of a buzz from a tootsie roll

    This is, by far, the strongest one I've ever taken. MP Assault - 300mg, BPI 1MR - 300mg, NO Explode - 225mg, C4 - 150mg, Jack3d - 125mg, ON - 175mg. I take 1/2 to 3/4 scoop, so I'm just taking around 210-315 mg. Like @Newlife said, a 30 serving can is doubled that way. That's 2 months of pre for like $25.

I consider a pre-workout one of the essential supplements. A lot more effective than glutamine, beta alinine, and all that other crap. I prefer to get my protein from food (aside from 1 shake during the day for the sake of convenience). The only supplements I ever use are protein powder, creatine, and a pre-workout. All that other shit, the effects are so negligible that they're just not worth it. Sure, amino acid supplements may have some noticeable effects on the body, but nothing like creatine or even a pre-workout.

If I have the option to workout tired after a long day of work or to take a pre and get a huge energy burst, I'm gonna go with the latter. Same reason powerlifters sniff ammonia and the same reason billions of people drink coffee in the morning. It's not cheating or lack of motivation to use your available resources...not to say one shouldn't cycle off to keep the tolerance down, though.

Surely you realize that the majority of Preworkouts are built off the 3 supplements I listed with a few other things added such as Niacin, Bcaa's, and off coarse a stim. Next to Creatine, Beta Alanine is one of the most researched supplements with proven results. And to top it off most company's will list ingredients under a "Special Blend" and list it as one serving so you really do not know how much you are taking.

I only take a pre-workout for the caffeine...hell, I used to just drink coffee before my workouts, but I don't anymore. I'm not saying amino acids like beta alinine are useless, but that they're not worth supplementing. When the recommended serving is like 3-4g per day, I trust my food and even my preworkout to deliver that. You can find beta alinine in almost all meat, so as long as you're eating meat, you're covered. This goes for 99.99999% of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, etc. If your diet is in check, there's no need to supplement. This is the polar opposite of what EVERY supplement company on the planet wants you to believe because they're in the business of making money.

My old pair of jeans are feeling tight in the thighs. I'm gonna call that Gainz. Starting back in my old mma class tonight. It's twice a week. Really hoping to increase my flexibility again.

My reason for the amino is to wake up in the morning. Never could stand coffee and it's better for me versus smashing soda down. Monster isn't great either of course, but still better than soda. Plus that shit is expensive when you slug it down like I do

I am not going today either . Easter weekend got me. School gyms closed, I usually take monday off because of my school schedule and I have an exam today. I guess I could goto the gym before but I would rather sit around and act like I am studying.

I've heard aminos, especially BCAA's are good for training fasted. Something about the supplements kind of protecting your muscle from breakdown, since you're running on fumes. I've never been a fan of fasted training, but I know a lot of people like it. I always compare it to racing a car. If I'm about to haul ass for 45 min to an hour, I'm damn sure gonna fill the tank up beforehand. Now I know some folks have said fasted training burns more fat, but my goal is muscle-building over everything, so anything that's going to take away from that, I stay away from.

I'd like to take boxing classes, but there's nowhere around here to do it. I'd have to drive an hour. That'd be the best cardio ever.
