I've got a buddy who is a marine out in 29 palms. Lmao. If he worked out, I'd almost bet he'd do it.

2 of my closest friends are marines, they don't work out with me, but the stories they tell are awesome. Pretty much do anything kind of individuals. On a lifting note - got 480 on squat today. That makes for the 15# jump (5#s per lift) for this week and a new total of 1525# on the big 3. For lifting as long as I have, I'm so pumped to be making beginner class gains again. Like dam where did this come from!?

Back when I was in the army we made a drink that we called "Jail Time". It was sprite, some cherry flavor vodka, ever clear, and then pre-workout. No real directions when making it. We made a pitcher worth of it before going out to the bars. Some of my worse nights were because of that damn drink.

So I haven't really drank since I started working out hard, just for sake of gainzzz, but last night I decided to go buy a fifth of cheap tequila and drink a little with my roommates. Well I just woke up and my fifth is empty and my roommate said he found me at 3 this morning passed out in my bed fully clothed. Needless to say, I feel great this morning :drunk::bananadead:

I have had one of those moments where you look at the people you are regularly drinking with and realize you dont want to be like them. I have been going out to say hi but instead of a beer I have been getting a water. Gonna keep it up.

Yea, all of my buddies get ridiculously drunk every weekend and for the last 3 months I've been that guy who just hangs out and drinks water while they get hammered. Decided to join them last night and 100% regret it.

I just had one of those days myself... I got to spend all day yesterday paying for it too. Completely regret it.

Gainz... Have been slowed these past couple weeks. Travel/parties/etc are really tough for a guy trying to cut!

Mich ultra is my go to. Used to drink Bud Light but then my father in law was recommended by a doctor to drink Mich Ultra. It's "heart healthy"...well at least more so than anything else. It was either that, or eat more Cheerios I guess...

People tell me I might as well drink water. I tell them they might as well eat a dick.

I can have a few and be perfectly fine, and it's not TERRIBLE for the gainz.

Now, the bulleit and ging the other night.....that shit'll get ya.

@mightytacoman I dl'd yesterday.... WAS able to comfortably stiff legged pull 405s for 6 working up 25 pounds ish for 10 up to that weight from 135 then switched over to regular deads and ended up at 575 x 1. Not bad considering i did about 100+ reps prior. IT felt super heavy though and was actually hoping to be in a 600s but sadly wasn't. ITs about the 3rd or 4th time hitting deads since july so i guess ill take that progress on volume w ending at a 1rm..

congrats on the PR on squat

yes sir.... back a while back i was able to do bent over rows with 315 without doing the funky chicken i see most people doing, I used to have a ridiculously strong lower back but now since i havent been hitting legs/ deads my core doesnt like it.

For example, i don't lift with a belt at all. I rely on my core and ability to press against my diaphragm for my lifts.
My PR on fronts is 465. Since the leg bullshit last july I'm not starting to work on getting back to it. I barely and i mean barely got 345 a couple days ago on front squats. My core was the weak point, believe it or not. I don't do all the stupid crushes, leg raises that everyone does. i simply don't use a belt, and i front squat allot. The core strength gained from it is ridiculous.

That's alot of deads. I usually do about 60reps total of deadlift on dl day. Always working up to heavy and I don't do any deload sets then goto rows. Recently did 285 on bent over rows for 5x5 with good form. No chicken movements

yeah, so while i was doing stiffs, my break on sets i was doing ham curls. My hams have allot of catching up to do and as i cant really hit them with back squats its super important to work them with other loading exercises from multiple points
