    Might have to break down and order straps. I dropped 275 on DL on my way up for the second rep, slipped my grip and tore the calluses off my hands. Weak ass forearms.

    On another note, deadlifted with a belt today because I was planning on trying to go higher in weight and ended up with a fuckin pinch spot on my abs that looks almost like a blood blister, the belt hurt more than anything.

    If you're trying to workout lower back and hamstrings via deadlifts and your grip is holding you back, I'd get straps. Just don't become reliant on them for every single lift. I only use straps when I absolutely have to. I completely quit using them for shrugs and now I only use them if I'm above 315 on deadlifts. No sense in letting your primary lifting goal suffer because of grip issues. At the same time, you wanna work on grip strength, too, so one day you'll be able to ditch straps altogether, have big ass forearms, and be able to establish your alphaness when shaking someones hand

    I'm gonna get a cheap set and only use them for super heavy DL. I can readjust grip on shrugs every once in a while because I don't go ungodly heavy on them. I've been working forearms and grip twice a week, trying to build them up. lol

    You would have been proud of the vascularity today. Did Bi's, tri's and back to failure. Nurses used to dig to find a vein now I can flex and say which one do you want. Also threw in some shoulder shrugs because I could. Did 100 lbs and no busted blood vessel
