Everytime @zacharypaul89 post the gifs I usually spend more time critiquing myself vs how they look than I do actually oogling them

 

There you go!! Long time cyclist?

 

I haven't biked seriously in years. When I was into it, I rode first thing every day rain or shine. Now it's just work out or xc run every morning (one or the other every day).

 

When the weather is as shitty as it is today I had every excuse not to go to the gym today... But I dragged my ass into the tootsie roll gym and hit a new PR for my last two sets of 5. Too bad this budget gym only goes up to 75lbs on their dumbells.

 

I've got shoulders today. I think shoulders are my least favorite day of the week.

Yesterday was back and bis. Started the day with rack pulls. Was basically going to failure on every set. Worked my way up to 405 for 2. My lower back is ridiculously tight. I really need to do those more often.

 

Headed back to Nashville to the summer today which means first day in a new gym. Pretty excited, might go hit legs to start the summer off right.

@dwalden2 explain rack pulls.. Is it like deadlift but all lower back since you don't go as far down and use your legs?

 

Yea it's a deadlift that starts at or just below your knee. Doesn't involve as much glutes or hamstrings since you're not going all the way from the floor.

 

One of the most disproportionate people I've ever seen in the gym right now. It looks like he did a cycle and only worked shoulders. His traps and rear delts are huge, to the point it looks like he's almost hunched over. But his arms are the same size from his wrist to his delts.

 

This might be one of the funniest videos I've ever seen, and it's relevant because he bashes crossfit in it.

 

10 pounds of sweet potatoes cooked today. Should have my carbs made for lunch and dinner the rest of the week .....

7. I pick out some to equal 5 pounds usually and split my carbs between those and white rice but the past 2 weeks I basically only had rice so I'm going all potatoes this week. Haha

On another note: went to a new gym tonight, the one I'm working out at over summer. It's very old school body-builder kind. Apparently my mom went to school with the lady that owns it (her and her husband) and they're competitive body builders. There was nobody there when I went tonight, but they were blasting metal/rock music and I'm guessing that goes on all the time, I have a feeling I'm going to really like working out here.

 

So did you lift shirtless? Seems like the only logical thing to do.
