Everyone is different. IIFYM did not work for me. I tried it for a looong time (2 years) and got almost zero results. I was making strength gains but not much difference in the way of physique. #keto4life

It's certainly not for everyone. There's no "one size fits all" when it comes to dieting. I felt like shit when I was doing flexible dieting.

Sounds like you found something that works for you. My theory is "don't fix it if it ain't broke." That's where I am with my workout and diet. It's still working very well for me, so I am not going to abandon it until I hit a plateau in weight loss or strength gains. Gains are slowing, but still losing weight consistently.

My weight loss has stalled these last 8 lbs. I just want them off and then start focusing on getting lean and trying to maintain that weight.

I guess I do a type of push/pull/legs, except my workout is centered around the big 3.

    M: Squat and legs

    T: Bench and triceps

W or Th (depending on my schedule that week): Deadlift, back and bis

Th or F: OHP, shoulders and triceps

Sat: "Light" Squat and some HIIT

I do some HIIT on my off day during the week as well.

    Howzit guys!
Kinda new to the forums, just browsing around and thought I'd chime in. Haven't gone through all 2,140 pages of this thread but has anyone else tried implementing Intermittent Fasting into their diet for some fat lost? It's worked great for me and combined with a good HIIT routine after lifting really gets you some gainz!
I personally fast from 10pm-2pm the next day, then eat all of my calculated macro's within that 8-hour eating window.

My weekly plan, pretty generic split:
    Mon: Chest/some tri
    Tues: Back/some bi
    Wednesday: Legs
    Thursday: Bi/tri/core
    Fri/Sat./Sun.: Hike, dive, run, etc.

    PS: Always lift heavy! :curls::muscleflexing:

I fast pretty much the same time as you, but not really on purpose. Sometimes I'll break my fast at 4pm sometimes earlier. Then I'll eat my last meal around midnight. Plus I'd rather eat 2-3 big meals rather than 5-6 small ones.

My soon-to-be wife's brother does something similar. He only eats from 12-8, calls it "anabolic fasting." He has made a ton of gains in the past year, so it appears to be working. He has a sick Taco and is on this forum. I should get him to check in here...

Gotta get back into running, I'll be eligible for the police academy in about a year and I want to be prepped for the physical part.
Last time I really ran was July 4th and that was only a 5K.

That's plenty of time man. I took a physical test and did the 1.5miles in 9:58. Didn't really do any cardio leading up to it and I'm a 220lb asthmatic.
