    Maybe. Shit hit me hard

Edit: although I think it may be something other than that because I had the body aches like a mother fucker. Flu and strep came back negative though.

I think it's just a cold. Today is nothing like yesterday. Yesterday fucking sucked. Today, I'm just stuffy and coughing. The body aches are always the worst to me.

Did a baseline max of pretty much everything except deads today. Got 265 on squats and 215 bench 1rm which is a shit ton compared to 5 months ago when I was at like 155 squat and 135 bench 1rm. I dropped 265 on squats the first time I tried and got pissed and kept boiling over it while we did bench then walked over there and pushed it out, but boy was it fuckin rough. Looking for 315+ on deads when we do them. Super stoked at how far I've come so far, it's a great push to keep going.

Some of the best days I've had in the gym have been because of having a shitty day or being super pissed all day.

Well, I've officially made it my goal to reach > 10% body fat by August. Told the wife to absolutely under no circumstances let me cheat more than once every 2 weeks and to not let me drink at all (except 4th of July). The amount of will-power this is going to take is going to be ridiculous.

This HIIT training the last two weeks has worn my ass out. And 4 more weeks to go with it getting more intense as each week progresses. The good, I've still managed to drop and eating more. He best is getting stronger got 300 on squats for 4x6 last night until I smashed my finger in between the rack and the bar ( bled like a bitch) snatched 470 for 1 on deads and bench is back at 325 for one. So officially over my 1000 mark big three. I've been working up the last month to get everything in line.

Which I should ask as well does it still count if you use straps? Because I did 415 for 2x2 the night before but I borrowed a set of straps last night to pull it. One of the guys was lining it up and I was just walked over said can i try that real quick this guy pulls 500+ every damn time.

I think it counts if you use straps, but it's more impressive if you don't. I can pull around 420 and I can't do it without straps or a belt. I think as long as you're not using anything like a suit that actually "takes" some of the weight off your body, you're good.

I've pulled 465 for 1 two or three weeks ago with no straps but only for one.

Also, I found out these pill I have to take for a few more days have a small chance of causing insomnia...well guess what? I fucking fell into that category. Normally (even when sick), I sleep like a baby through the night. I'm usually asleep by 11pm and up by 7am with maybe one piss break in the middle of the night. Last night, I probably tossed and turned wide-awake for 4-5 hrs. Looked it up this morning and fucking insomnia was a symptom of this shit. Luckily, I've only got to take them until Saturday and I'm gonna start taking them in the morning when I wake up, opposed to after dinner.

It counts with straps, but...it's with straps. Grip strength is a part of the lift - IMO, a huge part of the lift. I don't think you can fairly compare lifts with or without straps (I would say "465 with straps"). Straps make dead lifting so much easier. I would equate it to using a slingshot on bench. Plus, heavy deads without straps are the best way to pack on forearm mass.
