I don't think anyone would have noticed... Either way, you don't owe anything to any of us.

And bring it on kid! I know this is a competition and all, but I will be there for support every step of the way if you need it. We're in this together, though I wish someone else would get on this too. Definitely a good cause, nobody can deny that. I will get my measurements tomorrow after work, and if you are lucky, I may just post up my routine as well...

Might as well jump into this thread and post a pic now that I'm getting back into shape.

This is where I was about 3 years back. The goal is to get back to this point by June or so. We'll see.

    097_cfda94b4c10d6944871fea52704246e7387d3d28.jpg

6', 200 lbs. Legs were far stronger than upper body. Full squatting 335 for sets of 6 at the time.

Now it's posted and public so I have to stick with it. Need to get a recent photo for comparison purposes soon. Embarrassment will do wonders for my motivation.

    I agree completely.

At the time I was doing full pull-ups holding a 75lb dumbbell between my ankles. These days I struggle with 25 extra pounds. I've got a long way to go!!

just push yourself. you have to react to what your body tells you. if you are sore, then take the day off. you can give your body a negative affect by working out too much. you have to change it up too or youll plateau. I work out 5 days a week concentrating on one muscle and usually having thursday and sunday as my day offs, but before that i use to do mon-wed-frid doing 2 muscles a day. i grew into this and i will probably change my routine again. My friends do competitions so i know a lot. That stuff isn't really my thing, i lift for fun.you have to start somewhere and i'm glad to hear youre ready to start now.

i'm 178 benching 335 squatting 375 deadlifting 315 and im around 8% bf, but it wasn't always like that.
