Great shoulders n tris workout today.

    all 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6:

    seated barbell OHP
    standing dumbbell side raises
    seated bent over db flys
bb shrugs...got up to 495 on these (with straps, but still a pr) I'm really trying to completely get rid of straps, but sometimes my little bitch grip needs them

    all 3 sets of 12, 10, 8:

standing bb triceps extension....IN THE FUCKING SQUAT RACK
    seated overhead dumbbell extensions
single arm cable extension with this cool new attachment we got:
    upload_2016-8-3_19-26-29.jpg

I'd love to do that, but I know it'd hurt my feelings lol. I bet it's expensive, too. I can't believe Steve Cook is that high. I bet he went into a deep depression lol.

What motion for single arm with that new attachment? Above your head or down? You could use that for kickbacks too. I usually go sans attachment and just hold the hook for those. Kickbacks are the key for huge triceps...and reacharounds

I did the regular pushdowns with them. I used to do the same thing you do with the hook. I'm gonna try kickbacks and overhead in the future. Thanks

Dexa at ut in Knox is 50.00+ tax. Still won't work on me because of loose skin. I tried that a few weeks ago. They said the skin will be counted as fat and someone in my position shouldn't even worry about finding it out until I get the skin removed.

WTF as some may recall I'm having to cut mass and some BF to go join my army peps again. Been running my ass off not lifting, weights going down but measurements are going up. I'm afraid my 1 lbs of weight loss a week is just my muscles disappearing before my eyes.

I think you should lift honestly. Doesn't have to be super heavy. Lift and do HIIT as cardio.

I am cursed with bulking up like the hulk when I lift. I have thought about just lifting light and going high rep low weight that's what I've heard anyways I've always felt more like a pussy if I can lift anything over ten or 12 reps then it's not enough.

Sounds like a blessing. I've been working my ass off for the last 3 years to bulk up like the hulk and am still a toothpick

Well I'm a chick so the BF taping is a joke. I rocked a six pack in college playing basketball and still didn't make weight. So I've reading on how to get my weight down then bulk up from there. I need to drop another 16lbs and 1 to 2 percent BF my army taping standards.

Worth a shot to try something different if you aren't seeing results. Can't say I know of any girls really bulking up too much without ALOT of work and over a long period of time - so if that's the case you must be a rare breed. I know all these guys in here would LOVE to be able to add mass as easy as that. What types of lifting have you done in the past and also what types of cardio do you do now??

I don't know what the army system is like, but in the Marines there were always ways around all of that. It went by height/weight standards and If you were overweight, you could tape out. If you had a high enough PFT it helped too. For the dudes who lifted a lot - even if they didn't weigh/tape in, we just used our judgement. As the Ops Chief at my old unit that's one of the things I was responsible for. If a jacked mother fucker who is clearly in good shape came in but failed weigh/tape standards I'd let it slide.

pics or it doesn't count :spy:

I'd say lift too over cardio. You are probably right that the weight you are dropping is muscle. It would also be water weight too, but it doesn't sound like you have much access fat to burn. Even if you are lifting lighter weight, if you are working hard enough I'd think it would be more beneficial than just running. Though if (what I have seen in) the movies are true you have to run a lot in the army so you probably want to be in cardio shape too so you can keep up:notsure:

This. From an outside looking in, I've never understood why the military still uses the height/weight thing because, if you lift, it blows it out of the water. I think I mentioned it before, but even most doctors still use the BMI crap. When I went for a checkup a few years ago, I was 180 and probably 11-12% bf and was considered overweight because I'm supposed to be 140 lbs...I don't think so!

Exactly. I don't know @jagergirll and maybe that is the truth but I have heard so many people say that: "I don't want to start lifting, I don't want to get too big." My wife was one of them. Now she complains about how she has stopped making gaiinnzzzzz.
