How do y'all feel about leg extensions? My knees are still relatively young but I feel I get the best quad isolation with leg extensions.

Every leg day twice a week usually low weight high reps honestly. I'll get up to 135 ish for 20ish but usually hang out in the 90's

Yeah I only ask because supposedly they're bad on the knees.

I stopped doing them after feeling knee pains. I do front squats/ low foot position leg press to target quads

To "tone up" the quad, I think they're ok. If you're looking for them to add size, not so much.

I do them every leg day as well. Usually twice a week. As heavy as I can go for 10-15 reps usually. 4 sets.

Good to know y'alls inputs. I do them as a finisher after I get all my heavy exercises in to sculpt.

I use it as well. Only take it before workouts, ON does have a straight BCAA you could probably take during the day.

What's do you guys/gals think of thermogenics?

I quit lifting dropped almost 30 lbs but I am at a gridlock now and have gained back a couple lbs. I run 3-4 days a week generally about 16 miles total. I just started doing one day of sprints again, I do my pull ups/push ups daily and started sit ups again. I had purposely stopped lifting to cut down to a goal weight before I start "lifting" again. One run a week is a 6 mile trail run with hills and my calorie deficit has been the same. It was odd I lost a bunch of weight quickly then it slowed to a couple lbs a month then I started gaining o_O I did finally realize that dropping 30 lbs meant I was burning less calories per mile :( I just added in Krav Maga classes again so that really hit a lot of muscles I hadn't been using in a while.

I do them at the end of my leg workouts. They're not good to do with heavy weight because there's constant ACL tension. Also, it has no hamstring benefit, so some people say it's bad because your quad and hamstring can develop disproportionately, but that's a dumb argument because people do isolation exercises for every body part. Lastly, people say it's a bad movement because it has no real-life application, unless you're a kicker, but that's a stupid argument too because that applies to the majority of lifts you do in the gym.

TL;DR: unless you have knee injuries, leg extensions are great, just not with super-heavy weight.

They work in the sense that they increase your heart rate, which increases the amount of calories your burn. It's just as effective to drink coffee throughout the day.

Serious mass 20% discount for the 6 and 12 lb options today. I ordered some yesterday with my other stuff.

Got on the live chat on BB.com and told them I just ordered yesterday and he's crediting my card back for the 20% discount. Another reason I always use them to order from
