In other new did some rack pulls tonight. Bare bar x 5 easy, 105x5 easy, 135x5 piece of cake, 155x5 get out of here, 205x5 started feeling a little Something, there it is 280x1 almost tossed some cookies. Dropped it as quickly as I pulled it. As soon as I rolled my shoulders back it was all over. The good news is I got it. The bad is I couldn't hold it. So at this point I'm calling it 205 for max and will slowly increase over the next three months and see how close I can get to my normal. I probably could have got for 5 it if I was fresh but the last thing I wanted to do was hit it dry not knowing where I stood at this point. Still a long way to go to be back to max DL being 475 again

Forgot to post this earlier...feel good moment of the day...

So I've been helping the trainer at my gym at 5:30am with his 6person boot camp, 3 days a week. Each time I get to work with a different person. On Tuesday I was working with one of the women who has only been coming maybe a week longer than I have been helping so she is pretty fresh to the whole thing (maybe a month). She's not in terrible shape but she is an older lady so everything is "hard" for her and she also just doesn't have the confidence yet. So on Tuesday she finished up her workout and at the end had a shot cardio interval to work through. She was to do 3 rounds of 10 flights on the steps as fast as possible. The prior times (once a week) that she had done this she would only get like 6-8 flights and quit each time. This time I told her to get 15, 12, 10 for each set thinking we'd at least get her to 10. I stood next to her each round and talked while she went, keeping her distracted from the screen. First round she got 16 flights. 2nd 13, and last 11. I had to tell her to stop each time since she wasn't looking. Fitness = 99% mental...maybe a little less, but not much...

So to the feel good part. Today she tells me "if you weren't here on Tuesday I never would've finished that." Made me feel really good like I actually helped someone :D

    Gainz. Gainz for everyone

I need to do rack pulls again. Haven't done them in a while.

    Shoulders n bis this afternoon.

So at work I usually dress in "golf attire": polo, slacks, and dress shoes. Sometimes (today), I have to dress up in a suit. I put on a jacket I haven't worn since last year and my arms would barely fit in the sleeves and I couldn't move because the shoulders were so tight. It was like I was wearing a compression shirt on my arms and upper back. Still buttoned at the bottom no problem, so save the fat jokes. Gains feel good.

It's awesome. Last year I got a 20k lb tow rope (that I still somehow managed to snap in half :anonymous: ) and the year before that I got a badass Gerber bush machete that I use all the time when camping (mainly throwing it at trees to try to get it to stick in)

Welcome to the brotherhood of the dirty bulk.

I think I've done those once ever lol.

I like them. Helps to work on your lockout if that's where you stall out on DL. Think I worked up to 455 or 475 on them last time I did them. It's been a while.

Hammy day today. Was feeling good on deads so decided to push it a bit. Put 315 on and got it so easily so I kept going. Worked up to 350 and got it, not "easily" but it was pretty good. I didn't have straps or chalk so my grip was struggling hard and I did standard overhand grip with both hands too. I feel pretty good about adding to my max of 365 soon

Think I'm gonna spend this evening just deadlifting.

Should I go heavy? Or volume? Or heavy, then back off to 225 and do volume?
