    Halloween was fun:

I know my arms look small :pout: Shoulda worked arms instead of back that morning. Spent all day Sunday laying around hungover and then we went and ate bbq that night that gave me such a terrible case of the shits I couldn't even go to work yesterday. I probably consumed 1000 calories yesterday #nomogainz

Same. I'm done with early morning workouts.

There is a Crossfit gym that opened here a few years ago and the wife wanted to go check it out and I went with her. The guy running the thing was a pretty stout dude, but everyone else there was skinny or fat. They had a big tire there and the guy said no one had been able to flip it since they opened around a month ago. I walked over and flipped it (it probably weighed 390-400 lbs) and walked back over to the group and told my wife this is why Crossfit sucks. She was over it then lol.

    Perfect.

    New gym opening in town!

Anytime Fitness is opening up somewhere close to my current gym. If they allow good music and aren't outrageously expensive, I'll be switching from my Average Joe's gym. Unless all the meat heads decide to start going there...in which case fuck that unless they're gonna give me some of their gear.

Did you tell Amy she was blocking our view of your arm? I mean, who does that to someone flexing?

If you're talking about the one in wake forest near Rogers I like that one. I've also been to the one on falls river Ave but that one is way too small. The lighting is good though lol.

Tell him to stop being cheap and get a damn squat rack and bench. I do like that room with the mirror where you just admire your gains up close and alone . Also I hope he doesn't mind me working out shirtless by myself.

I thought you went to lifetime? I actually was talking to him the other day. He is trying to sell it. I am sort of interested but I don't think I'm quite ready to do it, it would be pretty sweet though...

I go to lifetime but my friend snuck me in there a few times before (don't tell on us). Idk about that location man. I think it's right beside a bar which is weird cause you can hear drunk people next door while you workout.

Yeah I don't love it, but he'd let it go cheap and it has some sort of stipulation with the franchise where it only had to remain an anytime for a few years and then you could change it to whatever you want and it is already past that time constraint so whoever buys it from him could turn it in to their own gym

Why does he want to sell it? That'd be a red flag for me.

lol - he used to play pro ball for the Cincy Reds and made some investments when he was done. He works with me now, that is how I met him. He is just offloading some of his investments :notsure:

    Good point...

My understanding is that he doesn't do any marketing or anything like that for the business. Basically he opened it and has sort of just let it self sustain itself. He says he currently makes money back so it is still worth his investment but he wants to sell it to someone who will put time in to it to build it more. That's why I am only a little interested at this point...

The location isn't ideal but if you could get it for cheap and turn it into your own then that would be pretty cool. I feel like more people would go there if he had better equipment .

I LOVE anytime!! in traveling the country I do see that they are not all alike. franchise owners have a lot of freedom in the equipment they carry/layout/setup. Some I went to were absolute shit while some were amazing and made me jealous that it wasn't my home gym! I pay $35/month and I think that is a great deal considering you can go to any of their locations 24/7. The open 24 hours is a must for me and the hours I tend to keep. 2AM gym sessions are not unheard of for me LOL Hopefully the one there is in a good location and they pick out good equipment!

That would be cool if it were in a good spot. Maybe you could buy the equipment from him or something and pick your own spot. I know the gym I worked at/still go to owns the equipment, so there's no monthly payment, but another gym in town leases their equipment, which is good because I think the people they lease it from is on the hook to fix anything that breaks, which is extremely beneficial for cardio crap. When I worked at the gym, cardio stuff was always breaking and that shit is never cheap.

Machines are always breaking at my gym. There's this one red headed bastard that comes in sets the pec fly machine to 300 lbs (he maybe weighs 120) and gets it but can't hold it and let's the arms slam back everytime. I've told him a bunch of times to stop fucking around and messing shit up.
