Haha I'm the same way. My wife actually talked to me last weekend about how I'm such a dick to people. She was saying things like, "I know you hate talking to some people, but when you do have to, you can't just be an asshole to them" and "you can't just go places and not talk to anyone." I disagree. If I don't know you or don't want to talk to you, I wont...and if you try to, I make it so painful you want to leave the conversation immediately. It's not that I'm anti-social, I just hate forced small talk.

 

My wife and I are both anti social so I ain't gonna deal with that shit. People do talk to me in the gym regardless if I'm wearing headphones or not. I'll talk to them for a little but then pretty much put my music back on and ignore them for the rest of my workout.

 

I don't mind talking to people I know/like, but I hate talking when I don't want to. For work, I can turn it off and on and be social, but I hate it. My wife is the opposite...she can talk to anyone and loves it. I'd much rather just stand in the corner and look at memes on my phone.

Today is supposed to be chest day, if I make it to the gym. Think it's supposed to be 4 sets in the 6-8 rep range. Figured I'd hit 225 for 8, see how 235 feels for 6-8, then do 245 for my last 2 sets. Hopefully I get to actually go. I really need to go home and work on the house, though.....

 

Build your house or get chest gainz? I think you know the decision that needs to be made

 

Well, I wouldn't hesitate to go to the gym, but I know my dad is going to go work on the house. And I feel like if he's there working on my house, I probably should be, too.

 

True dat. All that lumber laying around, you can get creative and do some 2x4 bench presses, front porch rail chest dips, and plywood wall pushups.

If my SS is creeping on me right now, I could really use some workout "ge(test)ar" for Christmas

We're renovating the foreclosure we bought and it's been fucking with my gym time. I'm in the same boat with my dad trying to match up our schedules.

 

Well, he used up all the boards I had stained, so I couldn't really do anything there. Came to the gym instead.

What is this? Bench?

Per this 'rep calculator' I found in one of my fitness apps it says I should be able to max at 300 since I got 225x10 but I know I couldn't do 265x6. Maybe 2-3 if I don't do too many warm up reps to get there. I'll play with it Tuesday on my next Chest day...

 

Yea. Bench. Next week is the last week of this program I'm doing. It's 3-5 reps. The following week I'll probably try to max and see where I'm at

 

According to the calculator on bb.com, my max is 312.

My app says 308 for 6x265...just put 315 and bang it out
