"Look up some beginner workouts for fat over weight people" As my wife so gently put it. Lol. She's going to the university gym so I can't go in with her and I'm going to the local gym so I can't show her the ropes. I'll do some digging around.

    Everybody's money is green!

That sounds like a terrible idea lol. Sure, it'd look cool, but I think you'd spend more time sweeping sand than you would working out. I think I still have sand between my ass cheeks from my last beach trip in 2015.

Any hypertrophy split is fine. I recommend Doug's 4 Day Split to beginners.

My father is interested in a calorie/macro tracking app. Apparently my fitness pal has added a premium price to use their app. Any suggestions?

I use my fitness pal, the free app still lets you track and has macros, etc. The premium just gives you more detail.

I still want one that you can put all the food you plan to eat for the day and then be able to mark it off as you go. It's such a pain entering the same things everyday. I only use MFP to calculate my macros for my initial plan and I track I manually in my "notes"

The only thing I've ran into with the free version of MFP is not being able to list foods by micronutrient content. You can see the micronutrient content of the foods, but you can't, for instance, see a full list of all the foods by their sodium content. Other than that, MFP gets it done. I'm not willing to pay for that little bit of extra info.

I eat the same meals everyday, so after I initially track my whole day's intake, I just write it down so I can keep it on the fridge and I'm good to go.

For those interested, ON Gold Standard Whey 90 serving bags are on sale at Costco for $44.99 ($15 off their regular price). They only have Chocolate and Vanilla but for the price, I couldn't turn it down.

Also that sale ends on Jan 31st. I saw it as well. C4 is on sale 2 for 39.99.

Have you tried the ON pre workout? I saw it as well and might pick some up since I'm down to my last C4 and wanna try something different.

I'm using the ON Gold Standard pre right now. I went through 3 tubs of Hyde before switching. Clean energy compared to Hyde for sure. Good pump. So far I like it.

    Anyone here mildly Lactose Intolerance?

I'm bulking up again and started drinking a lot of dairy(Milk) again. I usually just get gas, bloating, and slightly looser stools. Nothing severe. Being LI is common in Asians(Me:bananadead:)

Something came across my mind, would being LI affect how my body absorbs the Cals/Macros in Dairy products?

LI: "The inability to fully digest sugar (lactose) in dairy products."

Sugar, which is a carb, so I'm guessing my carb absorption from Dairy is lessened, but would that be all? I'm not fully utilizing carbs/Cals, but would protein, fats, and nutrients be affected by LI?

I'm the same as you but I try to stay away from lactose overall even when I'm bulking. I can't always avoid eating lactose and when I do, I don't really let it affect my macros.

The gal and I have always been foodies. I am the griller/smoker/all-things-american and she loves foreign and gourmet dishes.

We received a gift card for xmas and decided to buy new kitchen gadgets. I got a sous vide water heater/circulator (stoked, perfect steaks anyone?) and she chose a pressure cooker (instapot). I wasn't crazy stoked about the instapot but let me tell ya, y'all need one.

The first thing I used it for was boiled eggs. 5 minute cook time (around 10 min total) and I had the best damn boiled egg I have ever had.

Being at high elevation already sucked but waiting 2 weeks for the eggs to age so they would peel easily was even harder. Basically, I quit bothering to get a perfect boiled egg. These eggs were bought today and peeled perfectly. Like a perfect in between of hard/soft boil. So no sulfur smell or green yolks.

I am sure the rice cooking and all the soups will impress me as well, but I was sold with a perfect egg.

Let me know how the rice goes. I'm so tired of dealing with the hour it take to cook it in the stove and cleaning up the spillage that always boils over

Just put in some jasmine rice...cook time is 4 minutes with a 10 minute cool off period. Surely it will be better than our $15 rice cooker from Walmart that managed to burn the bottom, make the middle soggy, and the top dried out .
