Cardio after leg day is awful. I try to make sure to do it anyway though, because it helps get rid of the soreness quicker. As you know, I've been on that stair thing a lot lately...doing that after destroying quads makes me want to kill myself.

I always do 20 min incline tread before legs it's just easier. I tried that shit after and looked like. Baby giraffe on the treadmill.

So @SLO/TACO I will be brutally honest I tried to back up the shit talking and either I just didn't have it in me or I've gotten a lot weaker this week but 150 went up, and that was as far as it went. I went down the weight went up then back down to the ground. Luckily on opposite sides of me. 120's did go successfully for 5 reps but no video was too emBrassrd at that point

From your previous message you seem to think that super heavy dumbells on shoulders or inline is no big deal... or " not really that hard " IMO its one of the hardest to do, frankly standing is even harder than seated and taxes everything you got in you, if your actually lifting to capacity.

" as for doing it right " No, thats definitely not what I'm referring to. A 150 pound db is simply heavy and uncomfortable to handle. I can easily press heavy dumbells, doesnt mean that handling it to the point of pressing up and down isn't a pain in the ass. Kicking the dumbbell up from a seated position is fine, but there is still bicep and forearms involved and is still taxing especially once u have done a few. I have never hurt myself ( knock on wood) and realistically i wouldn't be hurting myself because I'm " pushing myself to hard" or not strong enough to control it. Most injuries i have seen are actually from people mid working sets pulling and tearing something, hell i saw someone tear his bicep on a 30# weight and believe be he can curl much more.

You sound a lot like me. I don't get into the latest thing or even look at those sites anymore. But I've never got too into getting into counting everything I eat etc. But it'd be interesting to track, it's just I've found for me what works and a wing it on eating.. I don't eat bad per say but, I could dial it in..

I totally agree on form and people at the gym trying to probably more or less impress someone or themselves with crap form. If they'd train right to start they'd develop a solid foundation of strength, and lessen the chance of getting hurt.

Yeah, I've been training for many years myself.

That's pretty impressive to have never missed a day in all those years.. More power to you.

Yeah most people don't stick with it..
I've noticed over the years it seems like the 3 month mark is where a lot of people stop, roughly. If they last that long.

I didn't mean for anyone to think I was being a smart ass bc I wasn't.

What I had meant was, sitting up with heavy weight on a decline, I put incline bc I had a brain fart..
For some reason I thought someone brought up sitting up with heavy weight on a decline would be a problem. And what I meant was, it's not hard if you put the weights on your quads, bc it takes all that stress off your core before sitting up.

And you're totally right, heavy ass weights on a incline or lifting over head in general can be challenging, not to mention, you can easily screw your shoulder/s with the quickness..

And yeah 150's aren't light

Is the stair thingy you use rotating stairs, or more like a stair stepper with elliptical style foot things?

At an old gym I went to, they had a couple of awesome stair machines, where the stairs rotated. Those things are awesome.. If anyone has one to use, try warming up with one before a leg workout and get a pump going first.. One of the best leg workouts, it least it was for me.

Your delusional if you don't think 150s are heavy on anything. Dude at my gym cranks out 120lb shoulder presses like a savage and I could only dream of getting to that

It's the rotating stairs. I'll usually do 10-15 mins on the treadmill before my training then hit the stairs for 15-20 mins afterwards, followed by 10-15 Mins of sprint intervals. The stairs kick my ass every time. It goes up to level 20. I usually stay around 10, which is usually equivalent of 95-97 flights of stairs.

So, went to all you can eat seafood/steak tonight. 4 plates of fried shrimp, shrimp, salmon, cod, rice, rolls, steak, hushpuppies...then a small brownie and slice of cake for dessert. I've never been more miserable leaving a restaurant. Almost threw up walking back to the car. And I gained 5 lbs from the time I left the house to when I got home...
