So you're 5'9 175, and you want to drop 20#? Seems a hair light to me but I don't know how you're built. I really don't even use a scale really anymore, I just base my progress on aesthetics alone. I think scales screw with people's heads. Eat clean, stretch, drink lots of water, and lift heavy, and you should lean out. That beer is really what's hurting your progress. I like you, can put on muscle and fat really fast, you don't even want to know how much weight I can put on if I want to bulk, lol.

155 at 5'9 isn't that bad. I'm 5'8 and sitting around 160 right now. I got down to 151 during my cut over the summer. Once again going to try to get up to around 175. We'll see.

Well I guess I'm the one off that can do so. Because it works for me. Everyone thinks they are "X%" body fat... When in reality, add 5% to what you believe you are. I will show you my progress I've made and you tell me if it appears I lost muscle. I'm not saying it will work for everyone and I'm not talking about a 500 calorie deficit, maybe 100 calories.

    This is day 1:

Well can't find a damn photo from over a year ago, this is nearly 2 year. Just imagine a bit bigger same pudgyness.

I want to drop 10. 20 was a comment I made about what I didnt want to happen.

I was joking about the beer. I've mastered weight loss, I just dont like cutting for long periods of time because it screws with my training. Im a power lifter so I dont like to see those numbers drop :D

151 is way too light cutting weight for your height. Also 155 at 5'9 is too light for his as well. It sounds like you guys need to put on more muscle. Trying to get up to 175?

I wanna play. Here's me at 20 weighing about 140 lbs:

    IMG_2303.PNG.jpg

Here's me today at 28 and about 210 lbs:

    IMG_2299.jpg

I wish I were leaner, but oh well. Starting out, my bench was like 95 lbs. No idea what squat and deadlift were, but I'm sure they were just as pathetic. I played soccer all through high school, but never weightlifted. I could run a 6 minute mile though! I started weightlifting at 20 and haven't stopped since (haven't stopped eating either :D ). Now, my mile run time is probably around 15 mins, but I wouldn't know b/c cardio is for nerds. Current maxes are:

    bench: 340
    deadlift: 500
    squat: 405
    TOTAL: 1245

Goal this bulk is to get my quads bigger and my squat numbers higher.

Goals are to keep pushing those 1RM up without my weight loss impacting that. Wishful thinking I know :D

That'a kid. Keep up the good work! Everyone wishes they were leaner. I unfortunately love cheeseburgers and pizza once a week so I am doomed. You don't have to tell me you love food either, I know haha! Your strength is coming along nicely.

I actually gave up deadlift, bench and heavy squat. I still squat but not to the same extent, its to help build my hips and hammies. I just can't bench much with my dumb ass shoulder issue (If I do, its 185 and slow and controlled at most) Deadlift is just too strenuous on my back for my job and it was interfering with it so I've done other workouts to help.

As I said, keep it up. Many of us have come so far and it's awesome to see the changes we have dedicated to making!

I'll play. I looked almost identical to this^ At 18 except I was probably 5-10 pounds lighter and have smaller, non-puffy nips. Let's call it 6'0 ~140.

Now, I'm 21 and 6'1 about 170 at 8.5-9% bf. I'd like to be 185-190 but I suck at eating so I'll be forever small.
I haven't tried to max anything but deads in forever.
    Squat: 275 a year ago
    Deads: 315 2 weeks ago
