Ah yes I hate getting jittery too. As much as I'm on the go, I need all the caffeine I can get lol. I limit it to one cup of coffee in the morning and the my pre on workout days. On non-lifting days, I drink a monster or green tea around 3-4pm.

    Make your own, pencil neck.

    I lose weight @ 3000 calories a day lol.

You need to look into DIY mass gainers. You can add in calories with things like olive oil, peanut butter, honey, mayonnaise, etc. All that stuff is calorie-dense and isn't filling at all.

I tried a container of hyde, and though I liked it, I ended up going back to Optimum Nutrition's Amino Energy. It's a really clean bcaa with caffeine. 80g of caffeine per scoop, and the scoop is quite a bit smaller than hyde, and with discounts, it's a good buy. Hyde is a "dirty" pwo, and this one is green tea based without a bunch of garbage. I think I'll alternate back and forth, but since you are already a Optimum Nutrition fan, I'd give it a whirl. I buy the big container with 65 servings. With ON, you can dial in how much caffeine you need.

I’m cycling off pre right now. It’s been over a year since I really came off so my receptors are fried. I took two scoops of Hyde and Notta. So I’m gonna take 3 -4 weeks and hope that shit helps.

I follow Jim Wendlers plans. I do 4 main lifts 4 days per week. Dead lift days I do prescribed 3 heavy sets followed by 5 sets of 10 Squats at 50-60% of my Training Max (kind of a 1RM).
Flip that scenario on squat days.

When I do my shorter heavy sets, that final set I sometimes struggle with keeping my back arched but I have the strength otherwise to follow through.

I wanted to wait on the belt for a while to make sure I was building a good base strength before trying to do heavy weights with a weak core.

The sugar free Red Bull I drink every morning has 114g. I definitely need more than 80 for my preworkout.

My personal suggestion is wait. You’re numbers aren’t even at double body weight yet. Until you get your form in check drop the weight and build your core strength up and self bracing strength. I honestly don’t need a belt but

    1. It’s required for almost all federation lifts
    2. Lower back injury
    3. I’m a lot older than you
    4. (And this one is mostly bs because I wanted a solid number of reasons) my dead is almost 3x my body weight, my squat is well over double. So..... that being said I bought a really nice belt that wasn’t cheap by any shape or form.

Now as you’re reading this and thinking this guy is a prick. You’re right. But if you still insist on getting a belt buy a cheap one first. Jumping straight into a “power” belt is going to be a bitch where you don’t even want to wear it. Hell I just pulled 575x3x2 for my meet prep and my sides are bruised to shit right now to the point I didn’t even lift last night. I did SS cardio and tried to throw some HIIT rowing in and made it 2 rounds. So don’t get a power belt

I don't think you are a prick. I understand the importance and value of building solid core strength. I appreciate the advice.

I'll keep waiting and stick the the high volume sets to get that base in.

I'm very young and a newbie to lifting. I'm doing very well for lifting only 9 months after having to hit the reset button. I'm not in a hurry to snap my spine for a little ego :D
