The Official Gym & Fitness Thread

I work out alone 99% of the time but I go with my gf too but its usually to just help her. Give her a workout, spot her, help with form, etc etc. Sometimes I'll be working out at the same time that she is in there too but I think she tries to avoid it bc she knows I'll ask her to hold the camera

 

My wife was starting to get into treadmill and hand weights. That lasted 3 weeks tops. I encouraged her but she expects quick results

 

I think that's how most of them think. My wife went to the gym and saw little results so she quit.

 

Similar. Before the wife got pregnant, we'd workout at the same time, but not together. She usually follows her own weight lifting regimen, but she'll occasionally ask for exercises that hit "x" muscle. Sometimes she'll workout with me, but she prefers circuit-type training with no breaks and I prefer 1-3 min breaks between everything, so if we do workout together, we both get frustrated lol.

 

Pretty similar to mine, they just run around and I try to take it slow and rest. Then they wonder after 30 min why you're not done lol

 

She was mad because I lost weight fast. Which is true... because I was 100 pounds overweight, ate and drank crap. She has maybe 25 and eats right. Big difference.

 

Finally hit 300 on squat yesterday for a PR. Felt fast as fuck, I definitely have more. Still in the second year of lazy ass inconsistent no programming powerlifting and still weak as shit, but still stronger than I was when I started.

This took entirely too long to achieve but I finally got 3 plates on bench

That puts my current total at 1045
Bench 315
Deads 415
Squat 315

Body weight 176, 5’8.5” (resident fatass)

My all time squat is 350 but I’m stuck right now. Same with deads. I’ve pulled 430 before but can’t get it today.

Hitting bench today for the maybe tenth time this year. Fucked something up in January and took way too long to heal. Gonna feel all chubbed up if I can even get two plates x 1.

 

Congrats. Now you can officially stop ordering off the kids menu, pencil neck.

But for real though, why is your squat so low? So out of proportion with your other 2 lifts.

 

I know I cant get over those humps #pencilneckprobs

 

Also, that's a clean ass gym. Need to come to Nashville and get in this stinkin ass powerlifting gym.

 

It’s a country club gym

I have my own in my garage “the den” but I pretty much only deadlift in it. When I need a spot I run up the street to the club gym.

Im going to check out one of the powerlifting gyms in my area tomorrow. It’s supposed to be one of the best in NC

 

Fuck it, if it works it works. This was my next step from Planet Fitness. I actually just looked at the website for Poe's Gym for the first time in a while and actually make a cameo in the Taco in the beginning of the tour video.

So I went up on deadlift 10 lbs, so I'm at 345 DL for 2 or 3? Probably 3 because I ate Costco pizza like a fatty an hour before I went to lift and when I was bracing I was trying hard not to projectile vomit like on some DL videos I've seen LOL. So I might try 350 next time and make sure to do it before I eat dinner. Getting closer to 400 on DL. Just slow and steady.

 

Are over the ear headphones still gay? My right ear bud just took its last hit. RIP.

 

In ear are better imo. Bose soundsports are awesome. They have wireless and wired.
