    Looking for any links/info to help me get started on becoming a CPT. Thinking that ACE or NASM would be my best bet for what I'm trying to do.

    I'm starting from the very bottom right now so any info helps. I tried watching a few YouTube videos but they didn't seem too helpful. I'm not necessarily looking for step by step instructions but that would be great lol

    A few friends of mine run a bootcamp style workout group that is hosted at different breweries around Denver. They just signed on a new brewery and would like me to be the head trainer for it but they said that I need to be certified for insurance purposes

    You don’t HAVE to have a cert to be insured. You can get personal and general liability insurance from most providers and you can also get waivers for them to sign. My clients sign 3 before I do anything with them. I carried insurance while I was working through my cert since I already had clients before I completed it.

    But, if you’re looking for a quick, inexpensive, cert I’d recommend ISSA. It’s $500 and that includes the test and all materials. It’s all online and self paced. If you were looking to work at a gym like Gold’s or Lifetime you may want to look at the more we’ll known ones like NASM but for what it sounds like you need it for, ISSA would do...
