@zacharypaul89 @Newlife @ThunderCookies and everyone else who knows their stuff (the people who bitch about it are people who advise alcohol causes low T and potato chips are bad whilst lets eat pop tarts and PBJs because fat is bad and added sugar is apparently heart healthy)...

What are your thoughts on refeeds?

To be clear refeed defined as eating at your TDEE while meeting your protein minimums but basically eating the remainder of your calories as carbs.

Only for certain body fat percentages?
    Only good for excessive cuts?
    Good for all cuts?

    Get around what lol?

I post pics all the time lol...everyone knows I'm in the high teens bf%, but I don't tout that I'm 6% bf either...I'll be down to around 10% in Aug-Sept though ;)

If eating low carb, I think refeeds are necessary every 2 weeks or so to replenish glycogen stores. I don't think refeeds are necessary if you're not eating low carb and I don't think eating low carb is necessary unless you're already lean.

Ahh. I think everyone knows mine aren't shopped lol. Who would want to photoshop in a powerbelly?! I do be usin that structure feature tho :anonymous:

That reminds me of a time I was in Nashville...I was 21, but my ID still said 'Under 21' on it although you could look at my birthday and see I was, in fact, 21. Bouncer at a bar thought the ID was fake and was trying to be cute and embarrass me and I said, "dude, why in the fuck would I make a fake ID that said 'Under 21' on it?!" He let me in :D

Considering paying for My Fitness Pal, the free version seems to be limited in how I want to set it up. Anybody find the paid version to be worth it? Or have another option that is great?

If you will use that app, that app is amazing. It is so helpful in literally everyway.

Yeah? I am absolutely willing to use the app and am wanting to take better consideration on my macro intake. That is somewhat new to me and I am looking for something with comprehensive options. I like that My Fitness Pal has so many foods that I can just click and upload into my "diary". However, the free one seems to be so focused on calorie intake rather than letting me navigate mostly by macros.
Do you track your workouts in the app to? I am very keen on tracking my workouts, right now on pen and paper in a journal.

I have used the app many many times for daily food intake. I Haven't used it in awhile and I am ashamed because it's very helpful. I do remember it having macros though. It always layed out what each food had for macros and a total macro count at the bottom of the page. I can't comment about now maybe they have changed it to get people to buy into their paid version. How much is it?

I don't track workouts, i used to do so and I just did pen and paper, however that can be annoying sometimes carrying around pen an a journal. Phone apps have made things alot easier, I'd probably just go that route.

I think that comment was way misinterpreted, I should have put a :) . It was meant as a joke, since everybody has advice on things, and are not exactly where they want to be, something we all have in common. It doesn't "sting", because I don't begin to assume I know everything fitness related like some people do, but I'm constantly learning, more so nutrition wise. I can put on muscle pretty quickly, but fat likes to tag along with it. Which is why I spend a decent chunk of time doing cardio on top of weights. In terms of posting my #'s, I asked you to remind me and I'd re test my bench #'s, but you never did. As for the pic, I don't care, I'll do it.

Get to test openers on Saturday for my meet that is now...16 days away...gulp...

In the past 2 weeks I’ve hit 360 and 365 on squats which are weights I’ve never even attempted before.

Currently planning on starting with 375 for squat 430 for deadlift and 275 for bench. I’ve gotten 315 on bench before (in November) but it would not have been a fed legal lift so I’m not counting it...yet. For deads, I pulled 435 back in November too so I’m hoping 430 will go smooth and I can go up some for my opener.

Hopefully come meet time when I step on the platform I’ll well exceed all my expectations :fingerscrossed:

Awesome man! Have you done meets before? I'd make a small suggestion and lower the squat to 335 to start with. Don't want to start with a weight higher than you've done and if you miss a lift you get nothing. Better to have something and 335 shouldn't tax you too much being as squat is first lift (just IMO, never done a meet, basing it off what I've seen of others)

This is the first one. I have a coach tho who has been doing it for 2+ years.

360 and 365 moves easy. I did them both for 5 sets of singles and I even hit 365 for a triple on Monday :notsure:

    I hit 345 for 8 about a month ago:muscleflexing:

The thing is though... no one should be where they want to be. If you are then that means you’ve stopped expecting anything of yourself.

You should always be looking ahead and finding new goals as you reach your previous ones.

Same goes for Truck builds. Contentment is not an option. There are always more mods that can be done.

Also with fitness and nutrition its easy to know what to do... harder to do it. But just because you don’t or can’t do it doesn’t make the facts any less applicable.

How many NFL coaches could run a mile let alone do anything they expect of their players?

Lets see me and Belacheat do a bench press competition LOL

Ah, the way you made it sound was that you've never even squatted 365 before and you only did it once. If you did it for a triple you're fine.

I disagree completely. Just because you are where you want to be doesn't mean you have to just stop doing anything. You just have to have the ability to continue staying where you are. For example, my goal is to get a little more muscle on my body, lose some fat, and just tone down in general. I have some general weight goals for lifts but once I get there I won't be going higher. I may be an exception because of some medical issues but once I get to my ideal weight, physique, etc, I won't be going further.

I'm not saying find a point and be happy with it, just having found a strong baseline that can be maintained and built off of.

That's how it was intended as a joke, but I guess some people were feeling a little sensitive. :notsure:
