Hit 320 last night for 5x5. Last set I tried for 6 and only got it halfway. Gunna try and max soon, looking to get around 370 bench. It's depressing because it's all gunna go away soon for cutting season.

Yea that's what I meant from it, working harder due to it. 400mg will kill me, 200mg is enough already. I never have caffeine other than PWO so my body super sensitive to it now.

I've tried hundreds of PWO and none have ever made me feel this way, it works damn good!

I had the same dilemma about cutting, but I just said fuqqit and decided to stay fat as long as my strength keeps going up #permabulk #foreverfat

Hit some great PR's over Bulking season but now its time to "cut".. Got from 160 17% - 171 - 13% at 5'9 5'10 on a good day. Calorie intake around 2,200 a day.

    Bench stayed around 285.
    Squat increase from 285 - 320
    Deadlift from 285 - 415.

Which I figured is decent for a guy my size...

Starting to cut and could use some insight.

CLA's and Animal Pak Shredd along with carb cycling. Good idea or am I on the wrong track? Finally want to cut correctly rather than say I'm going to "cut" and then just do a shitty job of it. Should I be increasing my protein even more from 170g a day to like something that's 220g and restrict carbs and intake more natural fat? just looking for some clarity.

    Thanks.

I'd save your money on the supps...magic beans.

I think keeping protein at around a gram per pound of bodyweight is fine...any more is a waste, but it won't hurt you either.

High fat, high protein, low carb will keep the water weight off you. Other than that, it doesn't really what your carb intake is as long as you're at a caloric deficit.

This is confusing. What is your current weight and body fat?

Sounds like you are 5’9” and 171 at 13% BF.

    Why cut?

You cals seem very low. Do you count pretty strictly and consistantly? I’m your height with a thyroid condition and don’t cut that low of cals.

    Basic Rules to Follow:
MINIMUM 1 gram of protien per pound of body weight
MINIMUM 0.4 grams of fat per pound of body weight.
The rest of your calories in carbs, protien, or fat. Do what ever you want.

Eating more carbs helps you maintain muscle glycogen so you maintain energy in a deficit. Carb cycling is a waste of time.

See the edits I made. Figured I'd try to lose weight rather than be up to 180 and pretty much be like where the hell did this weight come from?

I did deadlift Monday 3x5 @315 and back and did some bench on tues with triceps but havent done legs since last week. Hope today she feels better so o can at least get spaghetti legs going and maybe a few deads focusing on technique today

Deadlift max day today! I'm nervous. I pulled 500 in like Sept, but I stopped lifting heavy until recently due to my ATP. I haven't gone over 405 since lifting heavy again, but it was super easy. I'm going to try 450, then 475, then 500 if all goes well.

Withering away into nothing. Meanwhile I hit 184 on Monday morning and had to eat at a deficit all week to get back below 181.3. I was 178.9 this morning so I can get back to my regular plan for the next 7 days before weigh-ins

    In b4 you hitch

Well you are 13% — and if that is accurate — that is a good BF percentage.

Provided you are comfortable with your weight I would keep bulking at a very controlled rate. Don’t gain more than about 1lb per month to keep fat gain to a minimum.

In that case you might actually want to go the route @ThunderCookies prefers and try to recomp.

Just an idea. Do what you feel is best.

@zacharypaul89 is fat... but I’m a higher BF than him and I’m withering away??

    Hmmmm

I don't remember how tall you are but I'm pretty sure it was taller than me. I feel little AF when I am 165 or less so any taller and I'd feel like a bean pole...like @Kerleyfries

I’m 5’9”. My best guess is around 18-19% BF two weeks ago.

    No bean pole here

My lightest was 138. That’s bean pole :S.

Well in that case we are the same height

My lowest (since I started lifting when I was 22, 29 now) was around 148 and I felt like a pipsqueek. It wasn’t on purpose, I got sick and lost like 10lbs out of both ends :puke:

I was 160 in June and felt great. I didn’t have my Bf scale I have now but I’d guess around 10-11%, lost a little strength (from where I was, way weaker than where I am now) but now I’m 179 and 17%. I’m hoping post meet I will be able to trim some fat
