    More like a few hours. It’s been ridiculous. But today is all about carb loading and timing. I’ve added about 250g of rice to each meal today added in some low mein earlier and some cookies. Tonight I’ll add in a 16oz ribeye and a huge non sweet baked potato. Lift tomorrow with mostly normal food throughout the day and then tomorrow if I have any energy left I think my team is going for sushi and hibachi. Last meet I feel asleep at the dinner table minutes after I ordered my food.

    I also just got my flight schedule. 3rd flight for squats opening with 606.6. 2nd flight for bench opening with 316.6, and 3rd flight deadlifts opening with 674.4 (kilo conversions) the goal is 750 Squat, 405 Bench. 775 deadlift if I can walk away with those I’ll be happy. I would love to close the gap in my chase for 2k as quickly as possible. I’ve already booked my next meet in July then November and a walk in deadlift only in December for charity. The November meet I’ll hooefully take home my pro elite total

    I used to run 15ks, half marathons, and did 1 marathon.

    Training was always great but the race day... sucked. Had to get up at 4am...carb load... then make sure you go to the bathroom... get to the race... register... hit the bathroom again... wait in your race bracket... run... then spend the rest of the day severly exhausted and sore and nauseous... and of course the rest of the week or month during recovery depending on the race distance.


    The whole process is just not enjoyable.


    It’s always great to PR though and its worth it after.

    At least it sounds like you are less than thrilled about the days before this meet.

    You know as well as I do that’s inaccurate as fuck. Final peek week sucks ass in most cases. This one just happened to not be as bad since I didn’t have to cut.
