I think that shot was with only 315, I tweaked my left hip flexor last week and have been nursing it so friday’s workout was a bit underwhelming :(. I just did a lot of volume but did work up to a double and single at 405, was also mixing in both conventional and sumo.

Started lifting heavy legs again today after a few months off to let my hip heal up. Did a few sets at 315-365 low reps and afterwards front squatted 315 for a triple. Never front squatted over 225 before so I was pretty amped up.

Not sure how accurate the 531 1RM EPLEY calculator is, but kinda of nice to see my bench would maybe hit close to the 300s.

Are you guys maxing out on the 531 after a few cycles? I guess it doesn't matter if the reps are there. I really hope I'm getting stronger.

    LOL I haven't yet!
Be interesting to see if the ladies look! Hahaha

Still don’t know what you mean.

Do you mean do a few cycles and test your max again?
Or do you mean max out like it gets too hard?

Yes do a few cycles and then test your max on the 5th week.

I always waited at least two cycles or 8 weeks before testing new maxes on 5/3/1.

    I tested after ~6 cycles.

As long as I was progressing on the program I was happy.
You can tell you are getting stronger on the program. Its not like you’ll do it for 2-3 cycles and be shocked to do a retest of your max that its lower or the same.

You’ll feel during the program its working. It doesn’t feel like its a faith based system haha

Thats what it seems like to me. Getting stronger through the program. I'm gonna wait 2 days and start week 3. I did Deadlifts last night and it didnt seem too bad, but I really really didn't want to go. My back was sore from the day before from my bench day. I did some seated rows and triceps work for the accessory stuff but i guess I hit them rows pretty hard because my back/lats were sore. I didn't think i was going to so well on deads but i still went and got some numbers. Then backed down to 225 and did sets of 10 and my posterior chain was puuuuumped up. I had to foam roll my hip flexors, glutes, amd hams. Feels good today. We'll see how the next week goes. Last set on deads is 335. So I can pull that a few times I'll be happy.

Good job! It wasn't too bad getting to day 4 with Keto. Basically what I am doing with my carb cycle right now with less than 50g fat a day. However, today is 300g carb day, ready to smash some weights with energy again!!! Haha. But then back to 50g carb for 3 days rip me.

What's your favorite keto meal so far?

I have really been enjoying it so far.
For the past couple weeks I was cutting back on carbs anyways. Maybe 60-80g per day and was gluten free.
Last weekend before I started Keto you of course ask yourself what you want to have one last time before you can’t have it for a while.
    I picked spaghetti.

Well about 20 minutes after I finished my dinner I spent about an hour in the bathroom... to put it simply.
Something is going on with my GI lately so I don’t even want carbs anyways.

No loss in energy. No cravings.
You have to keep your intake of Na, K, and Mg up. The “keto flu” is usually from an electrolyte imbalance because you do initially lose insane water weight. Youll deplete your electrolytes so you need to be over salting your foods or supplimenting. @Supra TT try doing that on low carb times.

Last night I made chicken thighs with olive oil, mushrooms, tomatoes, pesto, and smothered with cheese. That one is the fav so far.

This weekend I want to try smoking up some cheese filled hamburgers and maybe the bacon wrapped jalepeno poppers or armadillo eggs :9

My favorite thing about keto is I get to make all new recipes all the time. And I can drink all the Crown or Sailor Jerry and Coke Zero I want...

The not restricting cals part is awesome. But I’m still tracking what I eat. I will report if I lose body fat with increased caloric intake.

I weigh in tomorrow so I’ll know how much water weight I’ve dropped.

Stepped on the scale this morning.

I have lost a grand total of: Nothing.

    It was quite anti-climactic.

That's a shame, but good news is, you didn't gain any! Lol.

I am down to 199.9 as of tuesday. Might hit 198, but that's about it. Pretty lean...

Well I’m impressed there was no water weight loss. I feel like I’ve shed significant water.

But my goals aren’t to lose weight. I’ve lost too much weight. I’m 160 now... its upsetting.
I want to stay lean and gain back mass at this point.
Next week I will try to hit the gym for a few days. Lets see how much progress was blown out the window.

Glad to see my estimated 1rm numbers going up. I wasnt sure how many i was going to get on my last set of skwats. It was 1+ @ 280. I ended up doing 10@285. I'm on week 3 so next week is the deload week. It would be nice to see 400+ by the end of the year! Looks like OHP went up too to 170. Exciting stuff. Just thought i would share. Also that's my hype song lol.

Now time for that volume training.
