I’m older than you and also the strongest I’ve ever been. But at the same time I’m not really strong either.

 

Same. Turned 30 in July but have been hitting PRs all year long. Age is just a number, so is the weight on the bar. Which is a small number for me

 

Got you beat by 7 lb’s brah

Better start pushing it, after 30 it’s more of a downhill trend.

I know. Already pulled a hip flexor that had me off squats for 8+ weeks and I’ve still got a nagging soreness

 

Not saying it’s not possible to continue to get stronger just saying I won’t. Priorities shift in life and I’m totally ok with that.

 

I'm the strongest I've been even when I was in my 20s. I didn't lift as much back then as I do now, but I've been getting stronger steadily. My OHP seems to have hit a plateau though. The rest of my lifts are creeping up it seems. I took 2 deload weeks and just got back on my 531 program with the numbers i left off with So no bad. Legs yesterday and did OHP today. Might take tomorrow off and then do DL and be fresh. We'll see.

 

For men T levels and receptivity peak in the 30’s.
Typically people have their best PRs or best physique in their 30’s.

I don’t buy the “I peaked at 22” bull crap. Something is up with your diet or training if you haven’t improved on yourself since 22.

You don’t see a whole lot of low 20 somethings in Mr. Olympia competitions for a reason.

Lol 15 days. I’m ready. I had grand plans for a pre wedding cut to be shredded for the honey moon but life got in the way. I’m still happy with where I’m at. Definitely ready to fully enjoy bulking season when we get back though

Too late to back out. And going to pull hook grip. Should be able to pull 700+ with hook.

 

Record breakers. Last year at this meet I totaled 1376. This year I’m opening 1800+

 

That’s what I thought it was. One of the gyms here was trying to get me to go at least do deadlift only at this one.

 

Gotta say I’m not enjoying feeling like a cancer patient but I can do pull ups and push ups like a fucking boss lol and I ran my first sub 7 min mile ever in my life.

At least I’m not losing anymore weight. I’m able to maintain.

Maybe will start powerlifting again next year.
