Anybody do grip training with blob weights (half a vintage York dumbbell)? I want to start doing that but it's hard to find vintage York dumbbells and they are expensive when you find them.

I actually had to stop all caffeine consumtion because it was harming my workouts.
It was causing my HR to max out early so I couldn’t workout as aggressively.

Not sure I’d want a preworkout to be loaded with caffeine lol.

Yea, it does happen. This HR issue usually happens about 13 seconds into my sleep and my neighbors can hear my heartbeat for the next hour. Thanks delayed preworkout random energy effects

Never heard of them. Why grip training? There is so many other methods you can do that are cheaper and or free.

I grip train by training naked.

No grips, no wraps, no chalk, no nuttin.

I did use chalk on heavy DLs on the max Wendler weeks if I needed it but no other days.

I have smaller hands so if I’m using any assistive stuff my grip strength will never keep up. Plus post rotator cuff surgery the left forearm was gimpy for a bit. Had to force strength back up.
Farmer walks are good as are reverse grip bicep curls but for the most part I just force my hands to keep up with my legs. If that means I can’t hold the bar for one more rep guess I just get that rep next week.

Your opinion. Been doing it for over 30 years. You don’t get a wine gut you get a beer gut males can 48 grams a sugar a day females half of that.

Like I said before everyone is different what works for you might not work for them. I said this is what I found out and what has worked for me. I’m 50 years old and did hours of exercise a day just because of my line of work. So to say something is not accurate is not accurate have a good day.

    Science is science.

You need to have valid reason for stating dairy, red meat, and beer are unhealthy or lead to less sucess with weight loss.

Its called a liver belly and it occurs from liver disfunction due to excess consumption of alcohol (fluid is collecting in the abdomen). This happens with all types not just beer.

If alcohol fits into your daily macro and caloric limitations it will not impede weight loss or interfere with maintaining weight loss.

Thats fine if maintaining those rules work for you but you can’t say its unhealthy for all to consume those foods without data to back that up.

You can’t tell me a 98 calorie Miller Lite at 4.5% ABV is going to hurt my physique more than a 14% ABV 145 calorie 5oz glass of a dry Zin.
The Zin has more cals, alcohol, and carbs.

How to lose weight no matter pretty much the situation...

Eat less calories than you consume. Repeat daily until satisfied. Science.

Losing fat is simple. It's convincing yourself to stay in deficit long enough to do so that's tricky. Haha

    Are you tracking your food?

Well, kind of.... I’m starting to watch what I eat etc. I don’t count calorie intake or keep track of macos etc. I’m at ground zero with all that stuff. I just go to the gym and do the exercises I know how to properly do and try to learn new ones that will help me closer to my goal etc

You’re not gonna see much results if any if you don’t count and track what you eat. Start there Imo

If you’re willing to put in the work, you can lose fat by putting yourself in a slight caloric deficit. These is no guess work to it. It’s just math. Works 100% of the time.

It is a lot of work to track everything you put in your body every single day, but it’s the only way to know. It’s not that bad once it become a habit.

Essentially, you need to figure out what maintenance is for you. Then you’ll take away the smallest amount possible to still cause a response (weight loss). Ride that until you stop losing weight then make another very slight caloric cut.

I’d be happy to go into detail if you’re interested.

So I take back everything good I said about the Apple Airpods.

Apparently $150 earbuds are <6 month disposable devices. Powerbeat 3's lasted me two weeks, Jaybird X3 made it three months and now the airpods at six months.
