You and your ole lady are serious about this lifestyle.

How do y’all handle cravings and stuff? Like just wanting to try out restaraunts and throw down a face full of food?

Chop up a bunch of chicken in “nuggets” and soak them in pickle juice, garlic, and salt. Taste just like chick fil a. And your motel room will smell good af too

    Long shot, but...

Anyone want to buy a gym? Well, the contents of a gym, not the actual building. Located in middle TN.

I have a lot of equipment I’ll be unloading. A full CrossFit style gym: rowers airdynes, ropes, rings, bars, bumper plates, boxes, kettlebells, squat racks, pull-up rig, med balls, rubber flooring, GHDs, sleds, etc.

A full bodybuilding style gym: cable crossover machine plus attachments, leg press, bench, incline, power rack, lat pull down, hammie/quad machine, preacher curl, DBs 8-95#, steel weight.

Well i fucked up for two weeks. 1 week was sinusitis sickness and second week was “i am a fat loser - back to my old self carb binge”

I started dec 25th. Lost 22 lbs. workout 6 days a week, eating clean

2 week, no gym, eat crap. Gained 3 lb back.

Today at gym i could feel i lost some strenght.

At least - unlike my previous life - decided instead of giving up- just push hard again. No need beating myself up. 28lb more to lose

    Wish me luck

You got this. I’m currently fighting myself pretty hard on wanting to just take a break and binge eat. Just gotta get back in the rhythm!

Not many, just use it to cook the basics. Cut up sweet potatoes into fries or diced. Fish, White potatoes, veggies for crisp. I haven't explored much, but they add a nice taste of crunch which I like!

It's certainly tough, but we always allow for a big ass meal 1x a week at a restaurant. We don't like going out much to begin with as we aren't drinkers and really have limited friends so we just do our thing. See below on cravings

What is "clean food"? Hah. I eat all sorts of food as does my gf who is cutting (cereals, poptars, donuts, cake, chocolates, ice cream, etc) You guys need to look at it more of what's in the food vs thinking it's dirty or not. If you program to eat 300 carbs a day - yes some should be slow digestion and some faster... but if you eat 50g of white potato, it'll be ok to eat 50g carb of poptarts in substitute. All comes down to calories in vs out.

Carbs are not evil. I consume 125-350 carbs a day when I was cutting. I lost 30 pounds in roughly 8 weeks (yes it was fast, drastic change in lifestyle).

Track your macro and calories, at the end of the day losing weight is about calorie in vs out.

I ***think*** I have turned the corner with my nagging hip injury. This is the best I've felt in three months. My walking around pain is completely gone. I squatted for the first time Sunday very lightly. No pain there either. Time to start rebuilding very slowly I think. I miss weight on my back very much.:fingerscrossed:

Don’t push it with the hip. I’m 6 days removed from surgery. But I’ve already been to the gym 5 times for around ~4miles on the stationary bike and some upper body pump. I’ll be back at it soon enough :militarypress:

Yeah I’m trying very hard to be smart. It’s hard but no way I want to chance regressing. Haha.

    What kind of surgery?

I had an impingement in the hip joint where my femoral head was banging on the joint when I would squat and overtime it shredded my labrum. Started feeling pain last August and quit squatting. Went through PT and finally got an MRI in January and then the surgery last week. They went in and shaved the bone down so it won’t bang anymore and repaired the labrum. It will be 6mos until I can squat again but it had already been that long anyway

Dang. Glad you got it sorted out. Sounds extremely painful.

Long story, but the short of it is my brother bailed on me (we’re 50/50 partners). Can’t afford to keep it alone.

It’s been a shitty deal, and pretty much ruined my world for the last few weeks. Nothing lasts forever though. Seven years was a pretty good run. I had a freaking ball, and would do it over in an instant. Soooo many memories that joint.

Right now I’m just trying to get out and be done with it.
