    I figured there was more to it than just a 20rep max lol

    Thanks. It takes a tremendous amount of mental and physical effort to really hit a high weight/high rep set. I think that's part of why I had a hard time this last time trying it. Working out alone in my shop with no spotter (and no audience, lol) I can only keep up the psyche so long once things get really hard. I agree on doing something like it to break up the heavy weight monotony. Gives the mind a different kind of goal and forces a different mental prep.

    As I first read it and started attempting it, you are supposed to find a weight that you can normally do, but with difficulty, for 10 reps and try to do 20. Personally I don't know how that's really possible to double something you already have difficulty with which was why I always worked up to it over weeks. You still want to push beyond what you think you can do- if 15 is killing you and you want to quit, you do at least 1 or 2 more. By the time you are done you can barely stand and everything in your body tingles! It truly sucks but you will grow! The nice thing about it is, it's supposed to be the only thing you do-or can do-for legs that day. That was part of the initial twisted appeal to me! lol I could go in, warm up, hit that awful 20 rep set-but then (after sucking wind on my back on the floor for a few minutes) pack my stuff and go home.

    As many reps as possible. Pretty much take it to failure. Normally done with a weight you won’t get 20 with though

    Man this week has been hard. Being on the road so much and having to eat and socialize for work. I might as well call this a week off whenever I was trying to drop a few lbs.

    Hahahahaha that’s dedication right there! I’m starting to see more and more bodybuilders showing their normal bodies vs their competition cut bodies and it’s kinda cool to see that most of them are bigger than they seem throughout the year. They just lose weight for competitions.

    Your gf is a badass though for staying strong !
    My weights this week are all over this place. 185. 184. 187. 189. 186 lol

    I forgot who sold me these lifting shoes BUT...

    They make my ass sore as fuck after leg day lol. I guess the wedge design focuses your glutes more.

    Love glutes day! Trying to work up to a decent weight squat and general glute strength so...

    * 7x lunges forward/lateral/rear on each leg, x3
    * 3x12 Bulgarian split squats (usually fail on 10-11th rep in sets 2 and 3)
    * 3x10 step-ups per leg

    Plus band work (crab-step and wide step) and a couple other sets for the day.

    I want to add jump split squats (or whatever they're called) and box jumps, but I usually can't get out more than 1-3 after the above till I hit total failure... I guess I could cut back on the workout or weights but I never was good at going back.
