I don’t really workout. I ride motocross and my mountain bike and do random shit. And snowboard in the winter. But I very rarely go to the gym because I don’t know what I’m doing in there.

Edit: I also hike a lot

I enjoy doing random shit. I’d rather flip a tire than pick up weights, or climb up a rope than pull-ups.

My current weight is 165lbs, give or take a couple pounds.

    5’9’’ 160ish and I drink 6-12 beers a week.
I’m around 9-10% BF right now. I’m trying to get back to 8%.

Beer = greatest thing on earth.

Where I do have to sacrifice is on my IPAs because they run about 170-220 cals per 12-16oz vs a typical 130-160 in a lager or ale.

    For lighter beers I like:
    Corona Premier
    Yuengling Light
    Michelob Ultra
    Miller Lite

I do lights during the week and my IPAs Pales and other crafts on the weekends.

I guess it was updated for modern times...

side note, more related, going back to the gym for me starts soon. been too long and it shows. well, too long and too much shit food. but the Smoking meat thread and whiskey thread keep me busy :D

Yeaaaaa see that’s my issue lol. I drink primarily double and triple IPAs and heavy imperial stouts.

    Stuff like this:

    6E4D2894-FA77-4C04-8CCC-037AD464C4FB.jpg

    B88F2B19-211A-4F79-A333-D185FA4EAE40.jpg

I should be a solid 40+ pounds heavier but I wasn’t kidding when I said I’m super active...I never stop moving. The couple times I stopped drinking beer during the week, I dropped like 10 lbs in a couple weeks.

I think I just need to know what’s good food to eat (that doesn’t taste terrible) and what are good exercises to do to get a 6 pack. Or maybe there’s a lot more to it that I’m missing.

There are no exercises that will give you a six pack

So how do I get a six pack then? I hear it’s made in the kitchen but I try and avoid the kitchen. Is there a list you can throw my way of what food to eat to get a 6 pack? Or a list of fast food that’s ok to eat? I know I’m not going to get a six pack by eating Big Macs but I would imagine grilled chicken nuggets from Chick-fil-A is ok. That kinda thing.

Seriously? Those are obviously 8 packs. I’m looking for a 6 pack.

You can eat whatever you want and have a six pack but you have to know HOW MUCH to eat. I eat chick fil a all the time, and not grilled. I’ll also throw down some Big Macs on the way to the gym every once in a while. There is no magical list of food that will give you abs. It’s calories in vs. calories out. It’s as simple as that. There’s some more complex parts to it, like eating more protein than carbs and fats but at the end of the day if you eat less than you burn you will lose weight and be leaner. If you want abs, you have to be lean enough for them to show

That’s confusing to me because I’ve never had abs before but I’ve been significantly skinnier than I am now. Like, you can see all my ribs skinny. Not because I didn’t eat but because I burn so many calories. That’s why I figured I have to work out as well, to make the muscles bigger.

Well duh, you have to build muscle to have muscle. But there is no magical food list or magical exercise list. It’s just work. And it’s hard work.

Ok, understood. I’m good with following directions and putting in the work. But is there a program or something that I can follow?

Every time I go in the gym, I’m lost. I don’t know which machines to use or how to use them. I don’t know what exercises to do or how many to do or how often a week. So I just wander aimlessly around doing random shit. That’s why I’m asking help. I figured I’d ask here, since you guys all do it on the regular.

Okay but seriously. Eating when hungry only. Don’t you think for some people it would lead to binge eating rather than curbing hunger with small meals all day?

    Good freaking job, guys!

Best catch up reading this thread has ever given.

So what did we decide? I just want to be as strong as @DirtyTerp , look like the offspring of @Supra TT and @Yotaaa91 , drink more beer than @PackCon , and eat all of the food. Is that doable?
