Holy shit I’m tired. That was the hardest rowing workout I’ve done. I could only do 3 intervals.
1k meters at a pretty good pace, row light for a 2 minute rest between intervals. It’s 80 out and in the garage it’s gotta be 85+ I haven’t sweat this much in a long time. I definitely am out of shape but the head so far is doing good after this workout. Time for a few squats, maybe some burpees too

Gonna try this weekend with a friend most likely :fingerscrossed:

It feels so good to be back working out. I was looking forward to rowing and dying all day while working

    "3 days

and the hits keep coming...political AND vandalism (i'll park in the boonies with 20+ spaces on both sides of me and some dick will park right next to my driver side super close. I'd be lying if I said I haven't keyed most of them - it's just a dick move and intentional.) (political not quoted for obvious reasons)

just consider that banned line a keying to your username - perma"

    Well then...

Got one of them “smart” scales on Prime day. I’m not one for getting super detailed with all the stuff it provides but it was an added feature, not sure how well all the calculations work but curious to see how I progress over the next few weeks getting back in to working out and being active daily again

Yup. It shoots electrical currents or something to get them. I don’t know the exact science behind it, but I’m sure a quick google will give you a detailed answer

Hey, for a $20 deal on Prime Day on it, I'm sure it does it close enough that can give me a general idea of where I'm at. I really only wanted a scale to measure weight, but when just a plain old scale costs as much as the new doohickey gadgets, fuck it, I'm buying the gadget lol.

I have a similar one. No. It is not THAT accurate BUT if it is your only source and you are using it to compare data points over time then yes, it will give you a good idea of your progress. If you are losing body fat from weigh-in 1 to weigh-in 2 using this scale, it is accurate. If you take your body fat with this scale and then go get someone to do a caliper test and compare the 2, then no it is not accurate. I used to do all those things but now I just use my scale and check in from time to time to see my progress..

That said - with it being at your feet it's going to tell you that you are probably fatter than you are lol. Guys tend to be more lean in their upper body and hold fat in their legs, ass, and gut. The electrical currents are not making it all the way up in your shoulders and back so it will give you a heavier read out. BUT if you are using this scale and only this scale it doesn't matter...

Yup. Pretty much how I feel about it! I didn’t get it to get perfect readings. I just thought it’d be cool to check progress over time on a somewhat consistent baseline. Otherwise I’d never know any of those other measurements.

How long would you estimate it takes to drop 1% of BF? Obviously there’s highs and lows but a best guess If you had one

Ha - testing my bro-math. I can probably shave 2% off in a month but I bet it will be slower at the start as my body gets used to the new macros and actual consistency. First couple days have been rough and I've been hungry mid-workout and had a headache. Adjusting here and there to try and get everything dialed in...

Haha I wasn’t meaning you specifically. Just a general “what is an average time to lower BF by 1%” I’ve never really measured my BF or anything. It’s not a big concern for me as I’m mostly lean ish

Ha - idk, it would probably vary greatly from person to person. Depends on diet, consistency, workout programming, mind-set... I did a 1 month strict cut in 2017 and probably dropped 3-4% but I was lighter then so it was easier. I've since put on more fat since getting more into powerlifting. I'm trying to shift back to my old ways as I've found that being stronger doesn't make me happy when I'm fat :pout:
