It's brutal. She awake alot, angry alot. It's tough. No doubt. Nobody said it'd be easy though, right? It'll be over soon. She has 10 days after this show then she goes to nationals for pro qualifier. Then it'll be over for awhile. We need a full year to rebuild her metabolism - it's completely gone. This is also why she's on such restriction right now.

Intense! Not the kind of thing you can dabble in. Don’t think I’m that committed to anything. Haha.

I rarely keep bacon around but I was asked incessantly to make chicken bacon ranch kabobs

    Turned out pretty bomb.

I’m not a bacon hater I just don’t think it’s some holy food like everyone else in the world. It’s good but doesn’t need to be on everything.

I tend not to buy it because of money. Its like $4/lb and half of it disappears when you cook it. So really its $8/lb lol

I’d rather eat salmon, steak, shrimp etc.

    But these kabobs were tasty!

My kids wanted homemade pancakes tonight. Instead of covering mine with syrup, I made a pb&j with pancakes as the bread. 10/10 do recommend. Had some turkey sausage and egg whites with it.

Buttermilk fired Chicken and waffles is my thing. Topped with pecans, jalapeño jelly, and syrup. Comfort food to the max.

I’m not who you asked, but I’ll throw this out there...

My favorite quad accessory ever is a narrow stance, heels elevated squat. It’s awesome.

i.e. squat with your hells on a plate and your feet close together for high-ish reps. 8-15.

You can load it with a DB/KB in a goblet position, front rack with a barbell, or high bar back squat. You just want to avoid the low bar position, as that makes the movement more posterior chain dominant.

45..my brother in law had his knee done at 62, a little earlier than he wanted. He was trying to wait till he retired, but he was at a point where he'd have to retire or get it done.

I agree with this. I actually do this exercise often. Back squats are what contributed to my IT band issue and avoiding them right now is my best bet for recovery. While doing so I had to get out of my normal realm of leg work. rngr is spot on with these movements - loving them.

Foot placement is also huge in the development of the quad. It can target different muscle group - narrow, wide, toes out, toes in, etc.

Honestly, a good person who has some strange leg workouts, but very home friendly on SOME is Julian Smith on IG. Check him out if you haven't.

With a dumbbel its kinda tough, but you can mimmick a leg extension. You need a bench to sit on and you place the dumbbell between your feet and just raise your legs as you would an extension. It's difficult to use tons of weight - so slow the movement with a light dumbbell and really focus on contracting the muscle at the top.

Should I skip my run today and go to a craft brewery instead?
