    Who carries their phone in the gym? There is a dude that is always yakking on his damn phone. I look forward to the day he's on a machine that I wanna get on and he's yakking away.

    i do...but only for the off chance the wife needs to get a hold of me or work wants to call and ruin my day lol... i hear you about people just talking on their phones..your there to lift not talk.... i have adopted the 20 sec. wait..after this what ever they were using becomes fair game. this is normally for the db's that think because they are doing a circuit they can hold all the equipment at the gym...dont think so buddy. every once in a while i will text some of my old lifting buddies some of the dumb shit i see in the gym for a good laugh.

    Last week I was on back day and I usually start with Lat pull downs, well when I got there, A guy was on the lat pull down machine,
    just yakking away on the phone sitting there hogging it for 30 minutes :mad:

    I do..but it's an iPhone so it carries all of my music, apps, (pandora) and workout regimen...besides I'm on call 24/7 and have a kiddo on the way.

    I do, I choose to answer the calls I want or don't want.

    I stay on my piece of equipment as I have specific times I rest and I have a number of sets I do...I make it clear that whoever wants to work in with me can only have the machine for 90 seconds at a time. And I make it clear my routine calls for 10 sets. Oh you don't like I have 9 sets left, tough luck buddy.

    If a guy sits on a machine and doesn't use it and for an extended period of time (longer then a standard rest period) I'll go up and see if he's using it. What's really stupid is when they say yeaa man, got 3 sets left, and you watched them walk up to the machine and sit down and yak away.

    Yea, I agree with ya! I sometimes wonder where some of these guys get their routines...especially when there are women in the gym working harder then the guys!!

    yeah but every once in a while a girl will suprise you... couple months ago i was at the gym doing chest..as i walk over to the surprisingly empty flat bench i see someone is doing dead lifts because there is a loaded bar with 405 on it...but there is a pink belt laying across it...couple minutes later this chick walks up puts on her belt and knocks out a set of like 5 with 405..thank god i wasn't doing either back or legs (i sometimes change which two of the days i do deads on)... in the squat rack next to her was some kid doing squats with like 135..poor kid lol.
