You’re more educated than I ever will be and know more than I ever will probably and I’m sure you’re gonna say something like “sleep is #1”

But my work schedule and life is so busy that my sleep is what suffers at this point in my life. Work out in the evening or morning and I’ll still get the same amount of sleep lol. I just prefer the morning cause it gives me time to wake up before work and the gym is empty at 3am.

Being tired and hypothyroid isn’t the same. You can do cocaine on hypothyroid and it still wouldn’t give you energy.
Breathing is exhausting, you question whether you really need to go to the bathroom if its more than 2 steps away.

Prioritize your sleep or you will sacrifice your long term health.
Work life balance. There is a way to work everything out to balance it. Take the time to play the tetris.

@broke_down was an MD/PhD student and now a resident. So take a busy AF doc add a PhD and a research job. Plus add the fact you have to feed yourself through all that. Dude still gyms and sleeps lol

I say it because I let my shit get out of hand for over a year working multiple jobs and school and it hurt my health.

    Woo! Young love.
    Married at 18 here.

We were out of our damn minds.

I wonder what cocaine is like for a pre workout lol!
And remember we all live totally different life’s. Some are better off than others. What may be easy to you may be hard for the next guy.

seems like most people in here are well off/upper middle class

getting 7-8 hours of sleep isn’t a thing for tons of people. Just gotta find whatever balance you can function on lol

The closest I have come to knowing was when I tried stimulant ADHD meds for a period. Took them and went to the gym. I was doing pull ups next to a guy who looked like @Travish325
I had this little voice in my head saying “go fight him”, “come on, we can take him”
I imagine coke is even more dangerous LOL

    Don’t assume anything about people.
    Everyone has their own story.

I put myself through grad school making close to the poverty level (thats a household income that low).
I’ve worked 3-4 jobs while doing school full time to avoid loans. I literally woke up at 2am to get to work to dig fence post footers before my full time job then to turn around at night and sit in class till 10pm.
If I’m doing well now its because of the years of blood sweat and tears it took to get here. I didn’t wake up here one day.

My medical costs have sucked up till this point between Hashis and now going on my 3rd major orthopedic surgery in 4 years. I didn’t get a vacation for 6 years due to that. My vacation time and money went to medical expenses.
Shit I’m staring at a $600 primary care visit bill on my kitchen table because I lost my job and my insurance this summer.

A lot of people have stories. I’m on the mild end of sacrifice. Again I don’t have inoperable brain cancer. Some people have that as an excuse.

Everyone has lives and struggles and has to find their own way to work around things. Life is never perfect or goes anywhere near planned. And how much you make or don’t make is irrelevant to what you have to do to find your work life balance.
Those people I know who make a lot... work a lot too. Like way more than I want to. I’ll take the lower salary thanks.

You can make anything work when you make it a priority.
I remember when you were traveling a lot for work but still focused on getting into a gym no matter what even if you were on the road. Who does that? Like no one. Everyone else makes excuses on why they are fat because their job doesn’t allow for workouts. You were like “fuck excuses I’m going to find a gym”.
You’ve got the dedication shit down. Just make sleep the next task.

Way too long primo to quote but I did read it all lol. I wasn’t judging at all. I just know what I work and try to stand up for others like me who put in a lot of hours to make it by. I could get more sleep but then I wouldn’t have time for gym. Or I’d have to work less. Both of those options suck lol.

    I still call bull shit.
I work 60+ hours a week, workout 14+ hours a week and sleep 8+ hours a night. Thats still 38 hours for other shit left over in a week for like eating, cleaning the house, and sex.

I also think its interesting you say this. I know two welders... and they make fucking bank. Now they are busting ass trying to run their own operations but they are as young as us.
They make a lot more than I do... sometimes I feel I wasted my life in college LOL

So you don’t have time for sex or house cleaning lol

If I had to pick I’d cut into gym than sleep.

What kind of projects do you primarily work on?

Gym is relaxing to me though so I enjoy it. I can’t have sex or talk to anyone since the wife is gone so gym is like my get out the house time.

I clean dishes every morning or night but no lol. The house gets swept and cleaned and all that once a week on Sunday

And anything and everything. I’m a welder but I got on a maintenance crew at a local power plant. So we just fix whatever breaks and do preventative maintenance so other stuff doesn’t break.

Huge gear boxes, conveyor systems, piping, bearings, hydraulics, whatever.

But let’s go back to gym talk lol. Been over the whole “everybody has different lives” thing before. Some are more busy than others. If you think you can fix my schedule without killing gym time then feel free to PM me lol

what’s y’all leg workouts today since it’s Wednesday and that always means leg day lol.

I routinely get about 4-5 hours of sleep. But two-three times a week I make a point to get 7-8. That works for me. Do what you can, including all the other junk we talk about on here like fasting and diet and exercise routines.

Ah see you’re realistic then and understand lol. I get my 7-8 hours on Sunday morning and sometimes Saturday if I’m off.

Btw gonna try your fasting thing out. Gonna get some casein and drink it before bed rather than eat dinner and see what happens

Dang you guys work too much.

I work 37 hours a week, if that... I get 3 hours a week for gym time so I leave early Mon/Wed/Thur, and still get home from 2.5 hours of working out by 430pm :p
