Whats up guys, so I finnaly got back in to the gym about a month and a half ago and I have been hitting it pretty hard 5 days a week, 1-2 hrs a day doing cardio to start and then weights the rest of the time, I am noticing im getting stronger but not really getting cut, but i am getting bigger
So my question is whats your opinion on how to start sculpting while not loosing the strength? Might be a dumb question and if it is sorry.

Are you getting enough protein? Need 1 gram per lb of body weight. 40% protein 40% GOOD carbs, and 20% GOOD fats. If you want to cut, then up your protein and decrease your carbs.

At least one gram on protein per pound. I actually aim for 2 but I know I fall short

Why are you doing cardio before? Other than just to warm up, you're depleting your glycogen levels (energy) causing you to lift less, less intensity, etc. if you train hard enough your glycogen levels will be depleted which then I would perform cardio, as it'll target the fat cells then for energy.

Like others said-diet, or lifestyle as I call it.
On another note-why are u spending up to 2 hours in the gym?

I will have to look what amount im taking when I get home today. I never really proportioned out my intake of certain things, just read the directions on the bucket and added the scoops of protein into the blender and drank.

Just never knew any different i suppose. I will start doing it at the end now and see what that does for me. I go with another guy and we just switch off doing stuff some days and when we share it ends up taking a little longer. Its normally around 1 hr to 1 1/2 hrs and some days we decide to do extra things that take longer.

Shakes are great post workout and to supplement your diet, but getting your nutrition from whole foods is always best.

    Are u eating before?
It does kick start the metabolism for the day and gives u more time to do things after work, time with the gf(?)...as long as u are consistent shouldn't matter...besides test levels are highest in AM

I Love working out first thing in the am...I have a workout in, out of the way. No chance of not going because i'm "tired" at the end of the day. and if i'm feeling frisky i may get two in a day :) And I agree with the cardio after working out...I've done it both ways and I get more out of my lifting that way.
