Rogan hates vegans lol. He did a think with Oberst on it as well and oberst was kinda trying not to step on toes or be really rude but Rogan kept antagonizing it lol

My macros for the past 3.5 months. I’ve been off keto for around 2 months now. I was probably running a 800-1000 calorie deficit when I was on it (eating until I felt full). Ever since I added carbs back in I have just eaten to within 300 calories + or - of what I burned that day. I am usually much closer than that.

I still eat pretty much all of the same stuff I did when I was on Keto. Lots of eggs, butter, some bacon, broccoli, lots of grass fed beef. I just used the reintroduction of carbs to essentially erase the large deficit I had been running on. I am a little weary of the relatively high fat content with moderately high carbs in the long run.. I haven't had an issue yet though. I suppose it helps that my high carbs come from sweet potatoes, whole milk, some rice, and things like that instead of sugar and pizza.

I have gained about 3 pounds over the past 2 months. No noticeable change in waistline and if anything I look leaner in the mirror. Not sure how much of those 3 pounds is fat vs muscle though. Still figuring all of this out lol. It is certainly a journey. I am just trying to settle into a groove that I can be consistent with.

Strained an adductor last week. Lots and lots of light squats today trying to push as much blood in there as I can. Super fun.

How long were you on keto?

Are you liking being off it?

I was on for 3 months. I will probably go back at some point in the spring for a few more months. I think that will let me shave off some additional body fat after continuing to slowly (as cleanly as possible) add muscle over the next few months.

I have enjoyed what I perceive to be some increased power in my workouts since I came off of it. I have not enjoyed the energy roller coaster that you get going heavier on carbs. Overall I was happy on it and I am happy off of it. I plan to just use it as a tool as I go.

I did not expect to enjoy it to the level I do.
I broke this weekend (pizza, cookies and beer, not the best choices) and I feel pretty much like a pile of shit. My blood pressure is up (@erok81) and I just feel crappy.

I’m not sure if I’m going to be strict keto long term but I think its going to become a new lifestyle for me.
I really like the cognitive benefits of it.
It does suck lifting performance goes down though but I’m gonna experiment more with the preworkout carbs.

I didn't do IF which I think you said you are doing. I would like to try that next time. I just had a hard time with it. Breakfast was one of the easier meals for me to work in some healthy fats. Lunch was the meal I struggled with. I went with tuna salad made with coconut oil mayo a lot of days. I can't eat avocado so I was hesitant to try avocado oil anything.

What are you doing for lunch most days?

    My feeding window is 12-8pm.
I typically break my fast with almonds and sharp cheddar cheese or 5-7eggs. I try to go for pure protein and fat and zero carbs to take advantage of HGH and protein synthesis spikes when coming off a fast. Also for insulin control.

Then I go for a salad and a protein. Today was venison chili.

Dinner I have red thai curry with zucchini and more nuts and cheese to close out the day.

I do not do the 70%+ fat thing. I follow ketogains macro recomendations and I’m only 55-65% fat.

If you have not already, check out their wiki page. Its information heavy and takes a minute to get through but its informative.

How do you find out your quads are overdeveloped and help hide your hamstring deficiencies? Struggle to do 3x5 on the ghd.

    Damnit! I love carbs.

I’m going to start every day LISS here in a week or so. I’m giving 30 days to the two supplements I added. Which as of now haven’t done anything for my blood pressure.

Its gonna be the greatest preworkout evar

I’m not sure whats going on with me. I’m going to bump up my annual with my doc to earlier this year.
High BP runs in my family as do other heart issues. I’m an athlete so my high bp is like 135/100 but still that bothers me.

But if I control my diet I’m fine. Would just be nice to have an explanation.

Same with mine. Well I know for sure on my mom’s side. Not sure on my dad’s.

I don’t know what constitutes an athlete, but what factors bp there? I would have thought an athlete would be in normal range? Mine is a tiny bit lower than yours. Usually mid 130’s mid 90’s.
