So you wait 30 minutes after eating to take those? They might not be getting fully absorbed. Plus if its a high carb meal you should already have pretty good pumps.

^^ eh, depends on the type of carbs. I use/prefer sweet potato (350g to me exact...refeed day it's 500g) for its low GI rate and potassium pump.

What's the opinion of this rep scheme......

Pyramid down in reps and up in weight
    12, 10, 8, 6, 12 superset with another 12

Volume is there but strength wise I can barely lift what I normally do cause of this?
Saw it and gave it a try but wondering if I should just stick to my 5x5 and 4x8 for strength?

I'm pretty sure y'all already know, but your body becomes tolerant so you end up needing more and more over time.

Stop wasting your money on pre-workout supplements! :p:rolleyes: Why don't y'all just eat up some carbs, like wheat pasta spaghetti or something like chicken alfredo. :D Tons of carbs!!!

I've noticed that when I eat pasta bout an 1 and a half before the gym I have the best work out/pumps.

Back in June I started the 5x5 program and managed to gain ten pounds. About 2 months ago I let school get the better of me, and have been going inconsistently. Hit the squats again about a week ago, aaaah my legs were hating me the next day.

When I started the 5x5 in June I started off at 155. right now I'm at 165. My goal is 170, but holy cow, it's difficult haha.

I'm 5'6" tall. and can't wait to see what I look like at 170. I'll wait to post up pictures until then. :D no homo :D

I personally won't get a pump from pasta or chicken alfredo, but I will get a dump. I don't go to the gym to poop out my pre workout meal. Carb powder is absorbed much quicker into the area's that it needs to be for workout energy then a meal of pasta sitting in your gut when you're trying to push 920 lbs on the leg press.

EDIT: Carb powder is all carbs, nothing else. I prefer to workout with complete 100% only carb intake instead of eating cheese, and tomato sauce and some meat.

Yea I like banana's, but I like my 50 grams of carbs I can drink prior to working out and not feel full and have excellent energy. Y'all eat your pasta and rigatoni, I'll suck up some tasty delicious pure carbs.
