I lift 3 days per week. Mon Weds Fri.
Mon and Friday total upper body. Weds leg day.

I do not like PPL. Because a day of back and bis is boring as fuck and I don’t like the idea of hitting a muscle group only once per week.

    But in to hear opinions

My issue with PPL is that exercises and muscles groups can’t be subjected to 1 motion. For example, to hit chest I can do both pushing (Bench press) and pulling (Cable flys) exercises so a PPL ends up just being Chest - Back - Legs when I run it and that isn’t really a PPL...

I’m currently using Thor’s Power Program but only following the progression of the big 3 lifts while adding my own accessories. It’s also designed as a 4 day program and I go to the gym 6 days so I do 2 accessory days on my own. My week looks like:

    M: Chest/Bench
    T: Back
    W: Legs/Squat
    Th: Shoulders/OHP
    F: Arms
    S:Legs/Deads

With my new job though, I’m toying with the idea of cutting down to 5 days. Resting on Wednesday and cutting arm day on Friday and instead doing Deadlifts then and Squat on Saturday. But, that will wait until 2020 because I’m on winter break until Jan. 6th and my gym time is more open for now :D

@PackCon if you hate back day you’re doing it wrong. Back day pump is like crack :muscleflexing:

I just have a hard time figuring out how to make back and bis day last an hour an a half...
Especially because I only do about 4 sets of arm work in one workout.

I may need to try a PPL routine for a couple weeks and see how I like getting more volume per muscle group.
I do want a better back and maybe thats why I’m lacking there.

Back day is quick for me. I can do it in 45min but usually stretch it out to an hour by adding some treadmill before to warm up. Bench day takes me about 90min. Anything legs takes 2hrs, which is why I want to switch squats to the weekend. But arms, back, shoulders...I can do those in or under an hour

Not sure how you run out of stuff to do. My workouts are an hour and half and I could keep going.

    4x10/12 , 5x8
Between rest and water and let’s say you do 4 exercise’s back and 4 on biceps... it takes a good bit of time.

this was mine today doing chest and tri’s

Upper body day I do 3 exercises each of shoulders, chest, and back (so 27 total sets) then super set 8 sets of bis and tris. Thats usually an hour and a half before I get to my abs which is about 200 reps and 15 minutes?
Then I stretch and foam roll.

16 sets I’d blow through quicker.

I have ADHD. I can’t just sit around, sip BCAAs, scratch my ass and stare off into space between sets.
I keep moving... probably to a fault.

Now when I’m doing routines like Wendler I need more rest but not my current routine.

Just different training styles I guess and intensity’s.

if I have more in the tank then I try to keep going till I don’t. I try to be pretty quick between sets but do take a small breather when changing exercises.

Usually when I leave, I am exhausted and hungry as fawk lol

I can safely say it doesn’t for me. Unfortunately. I’m only vegetarian now and still have high blood pressure.

If upping my cardio doesn’t do it I’m going to have to start taking meds. :(

Like I said I probably don’t rest enough to a fault. My brain moves so fast when I’m training I don’t want to stop moving and I just want to keep going.
An expert would probably tell me take some Aderall and sit down and rest.

That’s a 6 hour drive. And idk if they’re still $1 but the ones that were when I was last there are smaller than the palm of your hand. They’re like baby cados.

Ah okay. I never stopped but I remember driving through and seeing everything for like $1 and even some produce was 10 for $1. Was pretty jealous but as you said... could’ve been the smaller ones

They aren’t cheap after income tax, property tax, and property values.

The quality adjusted cost is $15 an avocado
