Same. When they get too dingy I just throw them away and order some new ones. They are cheap enough.

Could do 3 days a week. Prefer not to do 4. Current weekly volume is none. Last year I was doing 5k's (km not mi) a few times. Usually 1x/week and my timing was about 28m. In my defense, I had just gained 15-20lbs so cardio felt harder. At the time I was also doing the cross-trainer for 45m at probably a standard-measured 75% max bpm.

So pretty low experience. I just mean a program or approach that I can customize and use to be as efficient as possible in gaining here. Goal is to run a 15k or half-marathon this year in the summer/fall. Full marathon next year or so, but not interfere too much with my gains too.
    Tks

My stomach isn’t nearly that cut. Oh well, everyone’s body is different looking even at identical weights, heights and body fat %

Hey, I have those exact same containers. But I NEVER heat anything up in them. Don't need any more cancers. :)

I track with a bathroom scale so take it for what it’s worth but it pegs me between 12.5 and 13 on most days

Are you currently working out and sticking to a program? If not, I would highly recommend either just joining a gym or doing something like beachbody on demand. Minimize your investment until you know you will stick with it.

If you are currently active and just looking to have dumbbells at home. Try looking at powerblocks.

I think its great you want some heavy objects to decorate your house with, but are you going to use them? What is your goal? What DBs do you use for incline DB press? DB bench press? DB row? DB tricep skull crushers? and last but not least my fav these days Zottmer curls? I think you might want to start with finding a cheap used set of the DBs you will use the most for the msot exercises and go from there. Or see the 3rd quote and buy more affordable but still quality ADJUSTABLE ones. Do you have a plan? Have you been committing to working out? How many months of a gym membership could that $1k youre about to spend buy you?

^Yup. I can see the CL/Offerup ad now, complete with clothes in a pile next to the rack that he just threw off of it to take the pic of it for sale.

^what he said! There are also the bowflex version of selectable dumbells from i think 5lb to 52.5lb and that range would cover most everything for you, if you're DEADSET on getting a DB set. Its your money and you can do what you want with it but I 100% agree with the "minimizing investment until you know you will stick with it" <- that advice is gold right there.

I know glass may be better but I’m not a huge fan of lugging the weight around. On the flipside I’m tired of constantly replacing plastic containers. I have to buy a new set twice a year. I feel bad for our plastic waste.

I’m thinking of stepping up my game with a scale. I’ve been good at measuring all these years (and successful), just wondering how I can do better.
