Hey it is what it is.
It probably will be a good thing. It will allow me to deal with parts of my personality I wasn’t previously dealing with because I could compensate with excessive exercise. Now I have to deal with me.
Its going to be my biggest challenge to date I think.

I didn’t start the tumeric or curcumin but I need to. This virus is hanging around so long I think I need to take a more long term approach.

Good luck with finding your motivations. Let me know if you find any magic pill for that lol.

It’s my birthday and I’m gifting myself these gains by still going to the gym after work :anonymous:

Added to the list of my many talents (lol!) I'm also a dog trainer with years of experience with many different dog breeds. Sounds like there would be plenty that would fit the bill in your situation but if you have any questions to help narrow things down let me know! :)

There’s so many options lol. I would say no Heelers though as they CANNNNN be aggressive. I still love em and I know it’s not the breed it’s how they’re trained but you can’t take instincts out of a animal in the end.

what size? Long hair or short?

Haven't freaked out yet lol. It is pretty exciting, we just found out a few days ago that it is a boy:bowdown:

What I am freaking out about is that we decided we are going to sell our house and move so for the past week I have been packing my house up box by box and we are listing it tomorrow. We had an offer in on a new house over the weekend but it fell through so now we could end up selling our house and being homeless on the in-laws couch with a new born come June :goingcrazy:

I grew up in northern Ohio and know PLENTY what you're dealing with. Other than just trying to be a determined viking warrior mindset and grinding it out, the only other advice I can give is: Move. lol I moved to Georgia the 1st chance I had. I know it's not much of an option for plenty of people but in some situations there's not alot of options other than putting your head down and toughing it out. Take a break when you need to, hit it hard when you can. Force yourself in between as much as possible. Goals are key either way.

More good advice, thank you for sharing this. I've even gone as far as mounting sunlight/plant lights around my workout space to brighten things up, but I've discovered that the real challenge is building the motivation to even set foot into that space, lol. To your point, the only thing we can do is keep at it and whatever happens, happens.
Any effort will always be better than giving up entirely and just sitting on the couch.

It's funny you should mention moving, because that is in the works! I'm in the process of downsizing and reducing my possessions by about 75% (getting there, already filled up an entire Bagster in January). I have a trip planned in the spring to drive out west to visit family and see how I like things in that part of the country, and there are opportunities with my employer to transfer to the Atlanta area. Either way, I love the city of Pittsburgh but I can't handle another winter in the northeast - this will be my last winter here.

Sorry to derail the thread. Carry on. :cookiemonster:

My blue does the same thing. Idk What happened to him though because he’s really small. Only about 33 pounds. His mom and dad were both full size, working dogs on the ranch we got him from. I met both of them. The dads name was tank, and my god he lived up to that name as best he could for a heeler. Maybe I picked the runt, but he is damn cute.

Man... esp. in the middle pic your dog has the exact shape and look of a wolf. Minus the color of course.

Nice my man! Sounds like you are doing everything you can. And you're absolutely right, any effort is better than sitting around doing nothing. Plenty of times I went into the gym on a heavy squat day and sitting down to put on my shoes in the locker room made me not want to get back up! Sometimes I did leave till I learned that one truth. After that, I might go out and do some light leg work instead or work another part entirely. Maybe just jump rope or something. Almost always felt better once I got into it, and if after a short time I still felt like it just wasn't there-I left. Better to not burn out your mental drive, live to fight another day! haha

Shes a great dog, I lover her to death, I just got her a year ago and she just turned 2 in November.
She does look like a wolf especially when she’s playing aggressively with our other dog. When she gets dirty she looks like a giant fox.

To keep somewhat on the gym/fitness track, yesterday/today was my first fast in about a week, hit a bad accident on the way to work and was half an hour late so I didn’t end up eating breakfast at work like I had planned so I ended up fasting until lunch.

The topic keeps coming up in my household and just the conversation freaks me out. I’m not ready to give up my selfishness.

I think having the in-laws around with a newborn will be helpful. Plus mo money to save for the next house!

    Congrats on a boy.

Same here, plus I hate children with a passion....

My lady is the same way so I don't have anything to worry about. Might get snipped here soon so I REALLY don't have anything to worry about.
