Its nice to just change things up every once in awhile.

My husband loves the bands. If we lift from home he does bands and I use the dumbbells. The resistance increases throughout the rep so it adds nice variation.

I see a lot of guys at the gym add bands to their bench.

I have added bands previously to weights but that was near a decade ago when I was maybe a bit more interested in being gigantic and scary looking lol. My favourite was banded box squats. Work up to 365 and add bands to really tap into the self loathing lol.

It’s been so long I forgot the feeling of the strength curve through a band. You are 100% right that lockout is a lot harder. It will be interesting to see where I am at in the gym at the end of all this; what translated well, what didn’t. If nothing else it is a forced experiment and making me get creative which is never a bad thing.

They shut my gym down today. Shelter in place was ordered last night by the city, then “recommended” by the county. So my job shut down too. Plan to open back up in 2 weeks. Until then, all I have are 20 and 25 lb dumbbells and P90x that i bought like 15 years ago, assuming the DVDs still play. RIP strength gains. Might as well start my cut I guess.

hit 285 for 7 sets of 5 a couple days ago. Today was supposed to be 10x3 at 300 :(

Shelter in place here for the past 2 days. I didn't make it tuesday, the last day. Been so busy with work and dealing with so much employee relations - ugh. Best part of the job... not.

On top of several interviews and I stopped all caffeine 3 days ago... I am fucking exhausted.

Weighed in 217.3 today though. Hoping to keep it under 220, but knowing me I will lose glycogen and probably drop down to low 210s.

Dad and I cut down 4 huge pines the other day and I just carried the logs about 100ft to my woodpile. Felt like I was doing strongman.

Two people at a church in my tiny ass town of 170 people have contracted this virus... Both in the hospital on ventilators. The pastor of the church is also in the hospital but hasn't been confirmed as having covid-19 yet. I assume more members will have it soon as they had a fucking group prayer meeting of like 20 people on the 23rd. Idiots.

But get this.... My fucking boss had lunch with those two people who are now infected 12 days ago. He told me yesterday and has since self quarantined but may have possibly infected the whole office without knowing it. He hasn't shown any symptoms yet and said those two weren't showing any when they had lunch.

But since we are D.O.D, our office is staying open and we are still traveling for inspections. Hopefully he didn't get it cause if so a lot of people are gonna be fucked. I have already told my mom and dad to stay away from me for at least two weeks just in case.

We are about 2 weeks out from seeing the major peak of this virus.
We haven’t seen the end of this.

Most people who get it seem to be asymptomatic.

    I do not recommend.
I was kinda bummed. Thought it would be better but too much chai.

Had their Flamingo Dreams the day before. Blonde Ale with black currants. Would have been better as a sour but not bad.

I need to start lifting at night when I get home. Maybe I’ll start slow by adding little weights to the bottom of my glass.

I stepped on the scale this morning and I’ve lost a decent amount of weight. :goingcrazy:
Not great because I know its not fat loss...

I have nearly all my ROM back in my knee. So I really have minimal excuses at this point.

Started teleworking three days/week and going it two days. This is... weird. My job isn’t exactly something that usually requires a lot of computer work. Not sure what to do. Going to have to be creative. Haha.

Project 1 - get setup on home network. Check!
