All good lol. Whenever we finally get the go-ahead to go back I plan to hit it hard, even though the DOMS is gonna be killer. I'm so ready.

My gym is still not open yet. And honestly I probably won’t go until shit is 100% back to normal.
I’m not making a “reservation” and dealing with not being able to go when I need to. If I can only get in once every two weeks or... never... whats the point?

Plus they close the pools, saunas, and showers.
    So.... why go?

I want a sign on the front door to say: Don’t want COVID? Fucking leave.

    Rant over :)

Shit will never be 100% back to normal tho. There will be a new normal after all of this...

I’m not going back to a public gym for a while. They still aren’t allowed to open in NC, although somehow some are open, but none of the big chain ones. I’ll be cancelling my membership with Lifetime the day they open back up and start charging again. Mainly because I’ve moved and am much closer to other gyms than that one (I’m across the street from a YMCA and a 2min drive from an O2). I won’t be joining either of those in the near future though but when I decide I do need a public gym again, I’ll be deciding between one of those...

    Who with?
The only thing that chaps my ass about this state is the shipping on big items.. if I were to pay for a home gym I would spend as much on shipping as the equipment.

Our gym opened yesterday, pools, sauna, etc closed. Just got email few minutes ago, they open end of this month! I am pretty thankful for how quickly Indiana is letting us return to life.

I do have to book a time slot but they are flexible.

Department of Defense on Ft Wainwright. They offered the job but told me I had to be there in 2 weeks... Probably could have done it but I would have been rushing a lot to get there.

To... lift weights n shit?:rofl:Agree though. Never did the commercial gym thing until I moved and man.. all the other peoples' sweat on everything. If you're worried that should be the last place you should go to.

Yeah but my fear is I won’t be able to be consistent if they have sign up times.

Went to PT yesterday for tests and measurements before my 4 month post op apt next week. Surgeon said this is likely it and I will be cleared and released 100%

PT had me do some deep squats holding my spine as straight as possible. I told him my squat blows and he commented on how my back can’t stay straight. I fold forward with my spine quite a bit. Which people have commented before with me on but its not something I’ve been able to fix.

He gave me a 6 week routine for core and flexibility then we’ll start on some squat training.

I’ve never been able to squat more than I can bench do to this. So hopefully we can get to the root of this and resolve it.

    Any tips are welcome.

You need to quit that silly running if you wanna squat big.

I feel like a set time would make me MORE consistent but I could be wrong. With you on the squats thing. I was great at them in high school before I did track. Now I can't keep my heels on the ground, it's bad lol

Hmm, I DID have those back then. That sounds like it could help, thanks!

I think my definition of squatting heavy and your definition of squatting heavy are different LOL

Certainly if I have goals of getting double my body weight plus on squats my running is going to take a back seat.

Right now I just care about being able to squat without pain and problems.

My PT had a total hip replacement a few years ago and he has to squat up on his toes. He had me try it with a plank under my heels and it didn’t help with me.

I feels like something is limiting my movement but not sure what. I don’t feel its flexibility.

I do know though, some people just can’t squat right. I’m short and it may be my femur length. I know some tall dudes just cannot squat right.

I always did OK before getting to a certain weight then like everything breaks down. Squatting has never felt natural or comfortable to me. But this year I wanna try to tackle that.

Running is not my issue though. I only started running again Aug of last year. I’ve taken several years off an exclusively lifted during that time. I think around here you run around the block a few times an these guys think you’re a hard core runner. ;)
