So.... Where deadlift socks or knee sleeves on your shins.

Or quit being a baby :) Girls like scars and beat up shins.

I’m saying conv doesn’t destroy my shins like sumo.

    I always wear socks.

    I’d guess that’s a body proportion thing.

Gonna snag a vid in a minute and let you conv. pullers critique in case sumo doesn’t get better before the meet.

Help me make this feel less weird. Before y’all slaughter me.. Yes, I know lockout is soft. Have a huge nasty bruise on my upper thigh I was avoiding.

Just do it more often, it'll feel less weird.

I'll let the conventional pros weigh in on form... Cause I only know what works for me lol

Obviously it doesn't help much lol I still have chicken legs too. I will say my ass has been pretty sore lately from squatting so deep, so maybe I will finally grow that nice plump booty.

Speaking of, this morning was squats 6x4 pretty light weight. Depth was there:Screenshot_20200613-113905~2.jpg

You might not leave a wide furrow, but you sure plow plenty deep.

Everytime I try sumo it fucks with my adductors. It’s just not meant to be.

Cant claim to be a pro, but I did well at a few powerlifting meets 10 years ago…

Besides lock out, looks good to me. But I will add it’s “easy” to have good form on a weight that isn’t particularly challenging, and that weight wasn’t challenging for you.

Lol thanks. I been running canditos strength program a few times during quarantine and he has me doing “deadlift variations” on some days. I usually just do deadlift pauses but one time I felt adventurous and tried sumo. End well, it did not.

Still early in the prep so the weights are still pretty light. If this thing doesn’t clear up, I’ll get some vids as the weights get heavier in the coming weeks. Appreciate any and all the help I can get.

Wish you were closer to me. I can't help much without being able to show you stuff in person. Main thing I focus on in a conventional deadlift is to press the floor away from me and "scoop" the weight up.

By scoop I mean this: https://www.instagram.com/p/B9FlChXAHXP/?igshid=wiqqflkuhbe3 his instructions really helped me.

Setup and all that shit will be based on your levers and build.

On heavy pulls, along with pressing the floor away, I like to feel like I'm pulling the weight up with the back of my head... Sounds weird, but imagine you are pulling the bar with a rope on your neck, kinda like this:Snapchat-925564491.jpg

Everyone here is more of a professional than me, but it looks pretty good from here. Like someone else said, won’t be able to tell a lot until the weight is a little harder. Easy to have good form on easy weight. Only thing i MIGHT say would be to pull your shoulders back a touch more to really recruit the lats, but that’s really just nit-picking for the most part.
