Ordered three new tubs of total war preworkout that were one sale and decided to pick up an xmark curl bar. All of quarantine I skipped doing direct arm work/days and it’s caught up to me. My elbow sleeves slide right up my arm now and before I had to fold and flip them. The struggle is real.

I work with a lot of JDs in the state that aren’t working in an attorney capacity, they do maintain a license though.

JDs are listed as preferred on a lot of the job listings around here and I understand why. I feel like attorneys bring a unique thought process and problem solving to the table that I’m jealous of. I just feel they can think through unique issues differently than people without that education. I feel its more valuable than what I was taught in my masters program.

I’m considering a DrPH as well. Its a doctoral program that doesn’t come with the requirement of research, funding, and working restrictions that PhD programs do. Its just a continuation of what I have been doing. But do I need more of what I already have? Lol

Got my run in this AM because it was supposed to be wicked hot this PM.

The small locally owned gyms around me have found a loop hole that allows them to open despite us still being partially shut down. They are allowed to open and provide a way for people to workout who have a doctor’s order. However, because of HIPA they can’t actually ask for a doctor’s note or reason so anyone can just go. It’s supposedly an honor system but am I supposed to believe everyone I see rushing over to their gym again took the time to go get a doctors note? And wtf kind of doctors order is “go workout at a powerlifting gym”

You can get a docs note for that.

When I used to work on nursing home litigation there were long term care patients that had physicians orders for alcohol so they would be allowed to keep those beverages in their personal fridges.

You can get a docs orders for anything LOL

I can't imagine what I'd do with my free time lol. Been going for 2 years after breaking through my anxiety of wanting to go lol. Best decision I've made. When more money is freed up I'll be looking into some martial arts.

I actually slept in till 6:30 like I was supposed to today, did not get in an extra unscheduled run in.

Hit the gym this PM. I’m leg pressing my body weight now and up to 45lbs on the leg extension :curls::muscleflexing::benchpress::militarypress:

I hope I don’t make anyone here too jealous with my insane progress.

Yesterday was a 4 mile run and 11 mile bike. Getting summer hot here in the afternoon, I hate having socks all drippy wet from sweat running to the lowest point.

Runners ... what's the best way to train for a good time in the mile and a half ?

... besides running more, anything? .. been running 2 times a week at about 1 to 1.5 miles and or also sets of 20 yard sprints.

Seems if try to speed up or too fast pace I never catch my breath so usually its a s l o w pace at about 9.45 min mile with sprint at the end.

If you think that would be quick, you should try something with a motor and wheels

18” deadlift. Everything is at 65% for a de load week, also taking this week to eating low carbs and higher fat to improve insulin sensitivity for the big diet push afterward. Static Monsters show in October.

I lift in my garage with minimal weights: Curl Bar that’s like 60lbs(curls and OHP) two 20lb dumbbells, two 10lb dumbbells, two 5gallon water jugs for shrugs. That’s all I have to work with atm.

I’m not going back to the gym yet even though it’s open and it’s torture for me to not go. I just don’t feel it’s safe enough

I just added 18" deadlifts into my program too. Assuming we are talking about the same thing. I set the safety arms on my rack at 18" and lift from there. 'Rack Pulls'...

It's an accessory on my back day and then I still have conventional deadlifts later in the week, coupled with deficit pulls.

I'm also in week 2 of my new program I started and all my working weights are currently at 65%, but I wouldn't call it a deload lol:anonymous:
