    Booze, exclusively..fortunately never even tried pot. Not against pot but that would have been another method to cause trouble..at 28 I had a lot of trouble which finally showed me the light

    Accurate..would drink about 20 beers 4-5 nights a week at least. Trust me I got in a lot of bad situations legally and otherwise as a result

    I get it. I’m fortunate I never got into substance use. My husband did for a brief period as did a ton of people around me.
    I was able to stay away.

    5x60ft yoke
    10x3 sandbag toss (30,40,45,50)
    Husa carry and tire flips

    Got to try out my new SBD belt and it's fucking amazing. Although my abdomen is now bruised everywhere...

    I'll record it for sure. Yesterday I only ate protein and fat until 9pm (cheat meal at PF Chang). Actually felt good. No bloat and energy was pretty decent. That won't be my typical, but going from 300+ carbs down to 1/3rd of that should be enough without surrendering full keto. I will have carbs before the gym and while at the gym. 40c pre and 25g intra. That is the main source. It's really where it's needed most, usually.

    I think most grossly over estimate how many carbs they really need. Would be curious how you feel lower carb in the gym.
    Its easier for a guy my size to say carbs are overrated. You’ve got substantial mass on me so you may say otherwise.

    I’m curious though per pound of mass how many grams of carbs one can store.

    i am avoiding the social bullshit that is likely to occur when people feel strongly about whether they do or don't want to wear a mask while breathing heavily during a workout.

    Also not certain I want to anchor myself to a gym rn when I havent found one that I want to commit to. Who are you chained to? Golds?


    Btw, getting back on my bodyweight plan 3x last week was tough physically but mentally it felt so satisfying. Channeling that energy into week two, which starts TODAY. :curls:

    I've been lifting in my garage for about a year now, ever since my local Gold's didn't renew it's lease. I was chained to Gold's, if nationwide access for $24.95 a month is considered "chained." They definitely don't offer those deals anymore though. I got that back in 2013.

    thats a heck of a deal. I havent seen any good reviews about the golds in Arlington, and I would optimally like to support a small private gym but I dont think many exist anymore (average joe's anyone?)

    Also my apt building has a gym but its closed due to COVID. I am hoping they let us sign a waiver soon and open it up for use, that would be the best solution for me currently.

    Some bad ass woman sits at the bench next to me and starts benching 230 FOR REPS lol

    Well maybe I’ll be as cool as her in a few more weeks
