What's open HW?

 

Dude I have never competed nor trained hard for strongman except for the 3 months before COVID and all the weights are easy for me. Why is there such a gap in weights between novice and open? Just setting people up for failure

Even the open weights are super light.....

My last open HW the overhead medley started at 270lbs and the husafel carry was 385, 350 PER hand farmers and 700lb frame carry.

Also yeah I won that one, no big deal

Anyway, HW at nationals is a 400lb husafel carry and the overhead (log) is 320lbs for reps lmao

You need to suck it up and go open division. Novice is a cake walk.

Dude I can’t go open for my first comp ever and I am a corgi I would need to get lean and pretty serious for competing open.
