I should try this to watch my Sith Lord pop

I forget the name of it but I've seen a computer desk chair that's supposed to be helpful if you have back problems, you basically kneel on it. Not sure how it works long term though

Durring meetings my boss will sometimes IM me and be like “stop bouncing!”
    LOL

I have been battling with piriformis syndrome on and off for well over a year now. I moved to the ball part time and a standing desk the other times and its gone away entirely.

But you do have to watch the posture on the ball or it screws you up just like a chair.

Have been symptom free for two days now so tried to do a couple 400m repeats this AM. Made it almost 3 before I had to stop.

Slowly but surely, I'll get there.

Whats a good 2021 goal on how much weight to add to my bench given I really don’t want my body weight to change much?

Just a heads up to people looking for home workout gear. I was able to order 45 lb plates though Academy and have them shipped to my local store last week. Craigslist prices are still ridiculous.

Depends. If you’re truly at your max you’re going to progress much slower, but if you’ve never really pushed yourself to your limit you’ll make newbie gains and eventually plateau and slow down on progression

I’m a fat 158, hopefully will get back to 150ish then attempt to add some mass without getting fat.

I’m around 225 max right now. Before I was like goals:275.
But that may be amitious considering my goals throughout the year arent all lifting related. Thinking 250 if I start getting there quickly I’ll adjust.
I was once previously higher than that but I was also 180lbs...

Was able to 2X400m w/ 200m walk in between and then ran a full mile with no issues this morning. Again, slowly but surely.

The epic fail that was my first ultra attempt was a little bit of a blessing in disguise because the 50M event that was taking place in two weeks was cancelled this morning. I'm glad I raced my heart out on accident at the first race and had a great time, because my main event was gonna be a no go anyways thanks to the pissed off gods of COVID.

Had my follow up Dr.s appt this week and while the bursitis is almost all fully healed there is some fluid in my knee and a developing Baker's Cyst. So indicating something else. We think just a bruised meniscus and it will heal on its own. Being super careful and getting some imaging done but I've been told to do as much activity as I want as long as it's still getting better. I have torn my hamstring tendon in the rear of that knee in the past so it could just be that causing fluid build up as tendons never fully heal. But so far it's just fluid, no real issues accompanying it. I'm not worried about it.

I really hope that by midish next year we are not at risk for events continuing to be cancelled.

I have my redemption 50k scheduled for the week after my 30th birthday. This one must go or I'll cry.

seems like a shitton of pharma companies are going to be approved for to distribute vaccines shortly so I think you should be good to go. The question should be when will the next pandemic hit...... :anonymous:

Also anyone on here using a hangboard to train finger/grip/forearm strength and endurance?

Yes but how long to deploy the vaccine to everyone and everyone realistically be vaccinated? Maybe that will be by middle of next year. The docs I work with are reporting to us late Spring is what it's looking like right now, but a lot of resources have been put into this so it could be sooner.

Next pandemic, hopefully not in our lifetime. We've learned a lot here and maybe the US/Europe will be harder on China controlling their live markets. Who knows.

I could be wrong but, I doubt it.
I highly doubt the COVID-19 virus was from animals in a live market.

And secondly, I sure as heck wouldn’t be the first in line to get the vaccine for it.

They will make it mandatory to get the vaccine at some point. Especially if you want to travel etc.

Virus was sourced to a live market in China but viruses don’t just jump from animals to people instantaneously so theres more to it. Doesn’t mean that it wasn’t a contributing factor.

I worked in Pharma litigation so I won’t be first in line either. But thats a personal choice.

The studies that are currently being done are on 3-4 times the usual sample size for new vaccines. Thats bringing me some comfort.
