For the sake of chatting and bs; sometime around summer I took on a training partner for the first time in years. A much larger man who's done a few shows. Started talking about training styles and what not. I moved away from using a reps in reserve model to more DC style training. Body part splits, few movements, few sets, but pushed to absolute failure. The change has been nice and the growth is evident.

Squats ended at 505x3, maybe RPE 7, or 6 idk I'm not sure what RPE feels like what just yet lol

Feeling good, I think taking rest time helped a lot overall.

Was supposed to go to RPE 8 but I can feel my rhomboid starting flare up a little so I called it there.

Back when Dante was developing DC training I was in a forum he was on and I adopted most of his methods. It was the biggest period of growth I’ve ever had but holy shit was that brutal training...

Negative haha. Md whitetail hunting is a big less strenuous than big game mountain pursuits. I was about dead dragging my last buck to the truck about 100yrds. I put in for a Wyoming elk hunt this year so in a few years I should have enough points to draw a tag.

Day one of deadcember in the books, I am out of shape.

Hunting in WY is fun. Most of my experience is plains antelope though.
I want to do some elk hunting one of these days.

Goals. Just stepped on scale and still sitting at 203lbs. 300 would be cool. One day.

I run down my food. I chase it for 25 miles until it falls over dead of exhaustion.

I actually would like to hunt caribou with a bow sometime. I think that would be fun :)

    Do you guys have elk?

We have regular elk on the mainland and Rosevelt Elk where I am, though the tags are hard af to get for the rosevelt elk. Caribou up north. Pretty much all the big game species are here.

Are tags pretty pricey up there? By that I mean more than the $50 I pay lol

In CO tags were like $180-$350 depending on in state vs out and the area and tag. Sheep and goat are more expensive
