    cornteened :)

I got sick last week for a few days and for some odd reason had a fever so I had to get tested due to work rules. When they do it right it's not an enjoyable experience that's for sure. Especially when you know it's coming.

You know that's so funny, I've been keg training too!

And it sucking massive... that means it's fun right?

    Never quite understood that reference.

    Be well. :)

    On masks:
I'm in east Tn outside knoxville. Pretty much wear it if you want, don't otherwise. I try to remain respectful of approaching a counter to order/get a beer, but pretty much nothing else. I've went to just the bandana which usually lives in my pocket anyway so walking into a place Ill have it ready but usually go off the vibe of the crowd.
As far as the local gym; we've been mask free since it opened back up. some folks will wear one and usually no one cares; its personal choice for the most part round here.

I know alot of you guys do strongmen type training, but i'm pretty physique oriented. Changed the exercises and order this week and holy hell my quads are destroyed

Factuallyyy. This thread used to have zero strongman talk. It was mainly bodybuilding stuff.

So, first of all, I want to applogize for my morbid pussy ass attitude recently. Two days before I made the post about quitting the gym I started some new meds that made me severely depressed (which is almost an understatement).

Life has caught up with me recently and its not been pretty on my mental health. I’m sorry.

I’ve taken the last 13 days off running since I’ve been traveling. I’ve been doing all my PT quad work though. I ran yesterday and found afterwords I sucked at all my quad stuff. I may need to stop the running till my quad is back. I think running encourages the quad to shut off.

    No bueno gents. No bueno.

$700. plus +-$120 for the goodies. I researched the company. Turns out they originally made and still make "specialized" parts and components for the big bike companies. They got smart and started making there own complete bike. Saves you paying for the name brand.

My man. It’s all good. Honestly I don’t think anybody really cares in this thread anyway. Everyone has good and bad days. Fuck it.

Not bad at all. They make some nice full squish bikes. I just sold my trek a few months ago. I loved that thing but had to let it go due to the risk of injuries and my career.

    Hope you feel better soon.
Life has ups & downs...remember, nothing is permanent. Sometimes while we go through our life lessons and struggles we get caught up in them so much that we loose sight of the big picture. It’s not easy when you’re dealing with big injuries and/or have a lot on your plate...but, try to remember that non of this is forever. All the muscle you build, all the money you make, all mans goals to build himself up inevitably comes to an end. Strive towards achieving your personal goals but remember to not take it too seriously. I’ll quote a Chris LeDoux song that sums life up pretty good for me:

“Sit tall in the saddle, Hold your head up high. Keep your eyes fixed where the trail meets the sky. And live like you ain’t afraid to die...And don’t be scared, just enjoy your ride.”

Agreed, except this is for my mental health. I'm not sure who I'd be without training daily

I hope all this is temporary because I feel like I've gone crazy and turned into a different person.

    Thank you.

    Thank you :hattip:

You know, I never thought there would be a day when I felt my workouts would take more from me than they gave me in terms of a mental health, but that day did come. I think that's how I knew shit got real and I needed help.
