I'm partly envious of people who are emotionally and physically capable of being a parent. I just believe I'm not.

Have a kid and go without sleep for years?

Or have more money and be able to go on vacation whenever I want?

Not a hard choice for me LOL

I don't know man, have you ever experienced the weariness that comes from listening to parents complain about being tired? It is like no other

    Be well. :)

In the spirit of joking around in which you intended, I counter with this: Of course I have....my entire life up till having kids. I hated it. And then I had children and learned what true sleep deprivation was like. You see, as parents we've seen both sides of the coin. And both sides suck.

It's as painful as listening to 24 year old co-workers (life b4 kids) complain about how difficult their life is because they stayed up partying till 4am and now booo hooo they have to open at 11am and close down at 10pm and that's just not fair.

@St. Swervus which one is worse?

Parent woes or childless-server woes?

Speaking of childless party woes. Hubs and I have been living life too fully. Drinking too much and eating too much. He's the heaviest he's been in his adult life and I'm struggling with the weight I've put on. We also are horrible at enabling each other to make poor decisions.

I come home on Sunday (the last of 3, 14 hour days) and all of my beer is on the floor of the laundry room. At first I have a panic attack because I assume my beer fridge must be broken. Turns out it is not broken but we apparently are going keto now, for the next two months. This has been decided for me.

I think what is funny is, it's decided that we are going to man the fuck up and change our lives, lose weight, eat better, and train better, and that means getting rid of everything in the house you can't consume on keto... and the ONLY things that have to go in the WHOLE house, is 4 cases of beer, 3 slices of bread on the counter and 2 cups of pre-prepped rice in the fridge.

It's a funny visual of your life's priorities.

That's awesome. And hilarious. Good luck in getting back to task. I spent yesterday up in The Enchantments. Not a cloud in the sky. Look it up when you have time and want some inspiration. Mountain goodness all day. 25 miles and 8,600 feet of elevation gain. Hell yeah.

My wife has traveled the world and I have traveled the states… and there’s no sight I’ve seen or trip I’ve taken that comes even close to being as awesome as seeing my little dude smile and reach for me for a hug.

Any parent worth a fuck would say they’d do it all over again the same if they could.

That place looks gorgeous. I'm jealous.

Did you see any goats? :D

My focus right now is trying to get my weight down ASAP. Even though I'm not overweight, I'm 20lbs heavier than I was when I did my heavy ultra training. My knee feels every ounce. I want to get back out and start doing some 16+ milers in the fall woods around here.

My hubs and I are currently attempting to find jobs so we can move. I want to move to an incredible area with mountains, the hard part is finding a job that pays enough. Those areas are pretty HCOL areas (and it's too far away from family). My hubs is actually from Washington and I have yet to be out to that part of the country. I need to put it on my list!!

People do say that, I just don't think I ever would lol.

No goats this time. Some close up moments with a marmot and saw some goat hair rubbed on trees. Last time I was up there I had to move off a trail and let mama and babies wander past. 20 lbs. should be doable for you. Get moving around for sure. Even long walks burn kcals. Anf trail running....soooo good. Seems like everyone is hiring these days. Doesn't help with the cost of living but I assure you there are jobs aplenty out there. Every business I know of is looking for people. Best of luck to you and stay on target!! :)

I haven't encountered any goats in the mountains yet. I'm waiting for it.
Plenty of marmots screeching at me though.

We have talked about doing a gap year and maybe work part time, live out in the rockies and just run, ski, bike, and wander all day erry day for a year.

    Sleep. Eat. Wander. Bartend. Repeat.
That would be the greatest life ever.

Decided to get back out there today. Baby steps tho only 10 miles.

Other than the 18 spider webs I ran into it was a lot of fun.

I love mine. Like seriously love it.

The battery lasts so long I lose the charger between charges.

    Fuck Garmins :)
